Are there any plans of changing your job to be dev full time or will this stay as a hobby project? I'm sure you could make alot of money if this became your full time jobI understand the cynicism - especially if you've been burned by a developer before.
I'm not milking anything. I'm under the gun in my real job in my real life and when something has to give, unfortunately this beautiful filthy side hobby of mine is what does. I've explained that on Subscribestar and Discord.
Development of the next update of The Good Son continues, as does the next update for Girl Spy.
People are always welcome to unsubscribe, as many have already. It's a perfectly reasonable response to my tardiness. I just want people to know there's nothing malicious going on here - just a busy dude wishing he had more time to write smut.

Things are actually moving
Didn't I say an update would happen every 15 days 45 days ago? Fuck me did those 45 days go quickly.
I had a few productive days in the second half of April and then May was generally messy at work. I'm a financial consultant in my real life, and it's a great gig but it means living at the whims of my clients. Not diverting blame, just explaining why my evenings and weekends are sometimes shot.
I also keep this hobby secret from family and friends. Not particularly embarrassed or ashamed of my fascination with gender transition, my attraction to trans women, or my love of writing (and writing smut), it's just not polite dinner conversation. So, the house must be empty for work to occur. Writing on Twine is subtle enough. Looking for the right video that involves a trans woman cumming while being penetrated... that's less subtle.
It's funny, you might on first impression think that writing erotica is... erotic. I mean, you are glancing through a fair bit of porn when you're searching for appropriate visual media, but actually it's not sexy or arousing at all. Bug testing can be when you're reading through and experiencing scenes, but writing a porn game, even a porn scene, is just writing. You get into your flow state, and then you just 'watch' the scene in your mind and articulate it in so many words onto the Twine passage.
I have a solid weekend completely off and to myself coming up in June. I want to absolutely smash the fuck out of that weekend in terms of productivity - no sleep, just write. If I can have three of those weekends, this update will be complete. I'll work on the margins in evenings when I can, but obviously those long periods of work are where the productivity magic happens.
On another note, I've been thinking about Girl Spy's next update. I'm committed to making that happen post The Good Son's next release. It's all mapped out on my phone (in terms of the outline of the update). Should be fun to write when the time arrives.
I've been getting a lot of great messages, both publicly on Discord, here, and F95, and also privately from DMs. Some are completely supportive, some are genuinely anxious and hopeful, some are marked by cynicism. All are warranted. This content drought sucks. It's been six months since Girl Spy was released. I'm kicking my own ass right now to get moving. It will come. Work continues to progress where possible
You are all awesome. I know this content is pretty niche, otherwise you'd go elsewhere. But there aren't too many other creators to go to, so here we are. I want to give you guys these stories, more than anything. I love writing this stuff. Real life and hobby life sometimes don't align, is all.

Please remove the heterosexual/bisexual requirements for some items or add a meaningful hint.
If you try a non-gay playthrough and ignore Todd, the game stalls very soon :
"Full Body Shaving Kit" is not available if heterosexual is at 10. -> You need to start homosexual path to continue.
"Makeup set" is not available if heterosexual is greater than or equal 8.
The hint "This is too girly for me!" does not reflect that the reason is not a lack of feminity but a lack of homosexuality.
It seems that staying at heterosexual 10 also prevents getting the porn categories "anal" and "blow job" on the PC. (I would have guessed that anal and bj is only gay if two males do it together. Nothing wrong for a hetero doing anal or bj with his girl.)

The only thing i can tell you is just not play this game if you dont like "gay" content. It's linear and you MUST do some stuff want it or not, cause it coded that way and there is no "simple" way for dev to just remove it. This game is following feminization path of protagonist and there is no "What if i want to be hetero male" gameplay, but you can find it in another games on f95. If you wanna stay non-gay, you will end up in the ending for it and thats about it and you still would need to go to Todds gay attepmts couple of times for male ending.

Technically this is a html-game, so everybody can open it with a text editor and just remove the gay requirements. Main reason I posted above was the misleading ingame hint which may cause problems for other players, too :
While this game has different endings and uses the typical sandbox system, large parts feel railroaded like a kinetic novel without much choice, eg once the mc gets more feminine and uses the girly sports wear just once, Todd falls in love with mc and mc falls in love with Todd automatically. After that it is not possible to block Todd events since the Sunday gym event cannot be skipped. (There is no option to skip time.)
-> So the gay path becomes unavoidable unless you go for a very early (bad?) ending.

So I am stuck at the next point : Katie asks for makeup, painted nails, buttplug
(The unavoidable Todd events do not progress at the moment, so no change in homo stat.)
Buy makeup -> not possible, too girly
Buy nail polish -> not possible, too girly

I really don't understand why makeup and nail polish require the mc to be gay. There are a lot of masculine gay guys. And all the females using makeup and nail polish are not gay. Makeup and nail polish are part of cross dressing and cross dressing is not equal to gayness, they are different themes. Actors may use makeup and nail polish, but not all actors are gay.
If this game can only be played by doing events in exactly one specific order including the mc turning gay, then maybe change it to a kinetic novel and make the mc gay from start, telling his coming out story.

Yeah, you are right, you can manually fix it. The thing is game progression is tied to this variables and it will effectively break. You can play it still but events will just occur randomly almost as i can tell from twine code. You can of course, you are right
I think a lot of people would like this, and the story would still hold up. It's a very simple change too at least as far as I've played in the story. Unfortunately the dev and others in this thread think players should not have that option
I am always amazed how someone can download a sissification/feminization game that is DEFINITELY focused on it, and then complain that he CAN'T play straight! you could just as well complain in a fish restaurant that there is NO steak!

If you check the content, there is probably 80% straight and lesbian content and only 20% TS and gay content. For a strictly gay game, the game features way too many girls. Wouldn't a gay game feature lots of masculine guys with big dicks playing with each other? Why have mostly straight MF scenes with male and female actors and then say the female is actually a male? There is enough MM porn on the internet ...
Furthermore at start the game forces mc on a road to romance Todd, his best friend, but after a while this romance becomes completely insignificant. MC can date Todd's daddy, probably also his mom, can hook up Todd with the instructor girl Olivia ... or push Olivia into lesbian sex with a female customer, ... MC has a relation with his girlfriend Susan, female coworker Katie, maybe a scene with Olivia, can go for a threesome with Todd and Susan, etc ... This game is mostly a big bisexual orgie.
So why in first place force (kinetic novel) mc into a gay romance which later (sandbox) becomes completely obsolete?

Where did you get this metric from? MC can't even get his dick hard past early point in the game, and their content is very much focused on being a servile doormat and getting fucked up the ass, either by a dick or a strapon. Out of 14 potential partners just 2 are women who don't involve TS content, and even then one of them has a slave sissy fetish and pushes it on MC. "80% straight and lesbian" seems completely detached from reality.
It is an estimate.
If you have downloaded the game you can simply view the image folder with the ca 4600 images and there are mostly F, MF, FF images. There are a lot of M, MM and TS images, too, but I don't think they go into the thousands.
If that's correct and the aim of the game is equally straight, the game needs some early reworking. Todd is thrown in your face early on along with wearing womens gym clothes.
I'm afraid this estimate is based on mistaken approach -- the F, MF and FF images are used by the game mostly in context of TS characters, usually MC but also others, having either sex with men or with one another. I believe they're used simply because there's far wider selection of such images on the 'net to pick from, than actual TS porn.
I guess that the early parts of the game from 2020 in coding and writing do not fully consider the later system of many different (exclusive) LIs and different paths.
The intro from 2020 focuses on mc, Susan, Katie and Todd, so it starts with a balanced group of 2 males and 2 females.
