another option you could try would be to:
~right click and open the inspect/inspect element
~go to the console section
~type in Sugarcube.State.Active.Variables.purchasingpowerbaseline=9(I use 9 because it is the highest value needed for purchasing stuff)[this changes the maximum amount of purchasing power you can have on the week reset]
~(optional)type in Sugarcube.State.Active.Variables.purchasingpower=9(this will set your current amount of purchasing power to the number stated)

did you do it under console and not another section?
at the top of the window you should see sections that say Elements, Console and Sources you need to be in console whilst you type it

and when you use the command you must be past the intro

I have checked and there is only one instance of each of those in the code

fixed it, pretty sure it would have worked fine if you had went through the intro but I sent an updated version that does work with skipping the intro

any chance for a changelog? even if you can't post a download
