Ren'Py - The Hard Way [v0.37.0] [Muffin Maker]

Buggy game with hardly any variety in scenes(sex scenes are re-used for the different characters so you basically get the same 2 identical scenes repeatedly).
Dialogue is drawn out and straight up tiresome with constant conspiracy theories being the core of the writing.
Models are cheap and weird looking, MC looks like a date rapist.
Grind is out right stupid as is the rest/food/hygene stats and recovery(8 hours of "napping" during a day will not recover enough for a full meter of tiredness even though it was 1/3 full at start of day and it goes on and on.

Tried playing this a second time now after a while to see if things had improved, no such luck.

Would give 0 stars if it were possible. 1 feels generous.

Interesting concept and okay render. A lot of variety when it comes to women available but the content for them isn't very in depth. The gameplay itself is bad, essentially just a visual novel but with mechanics tacked on just so you have to grind. Halfway through the game soft locked me and I had to use a command to overcome it.

Relatively very little lewd content. The game is basically 99% dialogue but despite this all the characters are the same somewhat bland personality with little variation. The dialogue is focused almost entirely on exposition about how the game's world works or plot elements based on real world conspiracy theories. I want to believe the conspiracy content is meant as parody but the sheer amount of it leads me to believe otherwise.

It's a really weird, long porn game with very little porn.

This is just a bunch of idiotic conspiracy theories in a trenchcoat. Also the girls and their sex scenes are interchangeable and bland. Don't let the interesting tags fool you into thinking this will be worthwhile.

The story is pretty simple and basic, the MC is a kid that was kidnapped and comes back to the town after years to investigate why male kids are kidnapped and why there are so few men. The MC helps one girl and suddenly all the women in town fall crazy in love with the MC. The game introduce a lot of girls almost at the same time, you meet 2 or 3 girls, the next time you meet one girl, she will make you meet other 2 or 3 girls, in the end you don't know who is who, because the game throws in your face a lot of girls and names in like 10 minutes.
The UI is disgusting and not intuitive at all, too many clicks to do just one thing.

It wasn't all that bad... then the conspiracies showed up. If you can think of something that QAnon kooks would throw about, this game puts it forth as fact and tries to justify it, then takes it a step further in the crazy. And for a sex game, the sex is just tacked onto the conspiracy.

This isn't a sex game with conspiracies; it's a conspiracy game with sex.

Good characters and straigh hystory.
Maybe need more sex poses.
I like games that not have a lot of grinding system and goes to the point.
I hope the other clothes scenes will be release soon.

This game is just garbage.

The the story is just unintersting and mostly goes like this talk to someome and after a short while 3 new girls are unlocked the story is bad simple as that.

The characters have absolutly no personality I mean that is to be expexted by that amount but they literlarry have the same dialogue and sex scenes just a different model.

The sex scenes as I said is just always the same with different models and there are very little animations and all are just vanilla and boring.

The gameplay is bad and the grinding is the worst.

The map, enviroment and sprites look all very cheap.

The dialogue is boring and there are errors and misspellings.

The hint system can sometimes be very bad.

There is no sound or music.

And the game crashes a lot and has many bugs a lot of aninmations didn´t even play when they should and why are there so many moments with missing pictures or "under development" messages I hate seeing those.


The game is perfect for the saying Quality over Quantity.

Funny, engaging story, interesting travel system, easy to track help system, great job on animation and pregnancy system. Not to mention the mc's stupid face, that's funny.

The Good...

• Decent variety of women.
• Not forced into any sexual scenes with any character.
• Sandbox.
• The potential scope of this game is huge.

The Bad...

• Sex scenes in current version feel mechanical. There's no atmosphere to them and all appears to be sprite work.
• Stats mostly appear to be pointless. Like/Love/Lust are the only three that appear to matter on the women for interactions with them, but usually after meeting them only a couple of times you've unlocked all interactions. Your own stats don't appear to do anything at all.

The Ugly...

• Quite a few spelling errors and typos, especially later in the game.
• Some of the GUI isn't particularly nice looking and the clues area doesn't scroll when content exceeds the container height.

Overall

The game is enjoyable, and the story with all its conspiracies and the like is a mixed bag in terms of reactions, from laughable, to annoying. But it all is seemingly converging as the story grows.

The game is largely unfinished and has potential to be great. However, I feel it is unlikely to do away with its mechanical feeling any time soon due to the number of women involved and your lack of directly influencing the story. Ideally, I'd like to see more side content in future versions, focusing on specific women allowing for romance and courting rather than the mechanic feel it is now.

All in all if you enjoy the sandbox experience and find 'grindy' games enjoyable, this will work for you, but it's adult content isn't currently anything to write home about and there are many systems yet to be implemented.

This is one to watch and probably worth coming back to in a year or two once there's a lot more content.

Great game! The story seems a bit lengthy so I didn't bother reading it all. Surprisingly, the models almost all look very hot in their own way, even though there are so many of them. The animations are spot on but could be faster by default. The overall concept of this game is quite genius and very unique. I would like to see how it continues. The toddlers look awful so I hope they grow into some hot bitches.

Story is interesting. It has a lot of weard stuff in it and keeps you interested for what is next. The characters and their interactions were easy to follow and you could always look up what to do next. There was great variation in character designs, however the animations were a bit choppy and the sex scenes are all identical among the diffrent characters and races. However Istill enjoyed the game very much and can't wait to see where the story goes. There were a few typos and spelling errors but nothing to major and it was written well and very readable.
Since it uses Ren'py (which I prefer compared to some other game engines) it was easy to play.
I didn't time how long it took me to get through the current story but I guess aside from grind (nothing to major or not editable through save editor) it took me around 10-12 hours to reach the end.

I really have nothing good to say about this game. It is boring to play and neither the images nor the story got me interested. Waste of space on my pc. I did try to follow the gameplay bu the repeat actions and the boring, again, gameplay made me lose all interest. Avoid.

The good thing about this game is that it's ambitious. The bad thing about this game is also that it's ambitious. Most of the content in this game could be removed without affecting overall gameplay. The NPCs aren't bad necessarily, but the sheer number of them makes differentiating between them pointless. You don't really learn anything about them other than barebones biographical information which never actually comes up in game. Your interaction with them boils down to "Click through the latest conspiracy theory of the week".

I'm not going to say that this game is terrible; the scope of it is genuinely impressive. But overall, it's grindy, the NPCs are forgettable, the plot is lifted from QAnon drops, and after a while, I just stopped caring.

This started out like so many other games and then turned into something unusual and unique. Once the story starts rolling it become very interesting. The creator manged to combine a whole bunch of "conspiracy theories" about various topics with science and theoretical physics to create an amazing and entertaining yet clear and logical narrative. I am impressed. To put this in perspective I spent thousands of hours doing my own research in the past to verify the veracity of most of these theories and I was delighted to see how he used them.
The game does feel unfinished, like there are a lot of details yet to be implemented but it is well designed and runs well.
There is a lot of repetitiveness in the game but because the game kept moving forward it never quite got too boring. I did stop before I finished the current content because I had several game days with nothing to do but wait and I figured that was a good sign to stop and come back when there is a more content to fill in the gap.
The renders were good and I liked the Li's but I started clicking through the sex scenes because they were identical but with a different Li. I am sure that saved the creator a lot of work by reusing the same code over and over again but I am hoping for more unique scenes in the future.
Altogether it was fun and entertaining and I am looking forward to seeing where the story goes.

P.S. One thing I wanted to coment on is that the sex scenes are not only identical but mechanical so they end up just being porn. One of the reasons for wanting unique scenes is because that allows the introduction of romance and relationship into the dialogue which makes the sexual interactions more fulfilling.

One Word - FUN!
While not the prettiest title on the block what this game lacks in render quality and animation fluidity it more than makes up for in content..
With an ever growing story that digs deep into many conspiracy theory and myths and legends of our universe and beyond, the story is a great mix of mass harem building and scientific wonder..
Dialogue has a few typo's here and there but reads well enough and is fully understandable.. strictly typos not computer translated bad english like most..
Animations are a bit stop starty but are pretty good regardless.. most of the scenes are identical but in this sandbox world its not that bad and later on there are new areas and animation sets in fresh areas that are closer to some VN animation scenes your used to in other titles..
Well worth the effort even if your not a sandbox fan

I like that there is no real content you have to engage in. So you can just ignore any of the women that you don't like, and you can impregnate four of the girls. Those are the only real good things.

There is a lot of bloat, content that isn't used, girls who serve no purpose other than being another random set of sex scenes. Feels like the game is a product of development hell, too many threads all at once with little clear direction. As much as people complain about the development of Lilith's Thone, at least in that case what exists is concise and polished, whereas here it's just throwing content at the wall.

Overall this is an enjoyable game.
Just don't make the mistake of trying to grind. Follow the plot along to get stipends of passive income.
Plot is interesting enough, albeit it sometimes get too sidetracked in exposition.
You can actually have kids with some of the waifus (more with every update) which is a big plus.

+ Lots of wonen, like 70 or so. Different age, race, bodytype. You can have sex with anyone of them easily.
- Every sex scene is copypasted. Same dialogs, same 5 poses, standing sex only. Girls appearance makes the only difference.
- There is only one unique sex scene with 1 girl in bed. For a whole game with 70 characters. In a porn game. What a waste of potential...
- Girls change their clothes every time you initiate sex with them to "default". You expect one scene and get something completely different.

- First 20 minutes in game is a shitstorm. New girls being introduced in batches of 3 or 4. Its impossible to remember their names or appearance.

+ There are character stats, llike in an RPG
- Those stats are never used. And seem to grow randomly, except for strength. But strength is laso useless, since there are no fights with anyone.

+ You can upgrade your own cottage
- This cottage used only to converse with 2 characters, but costs a ton of money. And you cant invite anyone there.

- Money issues. Money is almost useless in game. There are a few daily consumables and basic gear, which can be bought at he first day in the nearest store. There are also expensive upgrades for cottage but they give you almost nothing.
- Money is given for free. If you dont want to work every day, you dont have to. There is passive daily income and a huge +1000$ every sunday. Basically, its a lazy cover for poor balance.

+ The main plot is interesting. But the story is filled with every possible conspiracy theory from internet.
- instead of learning something unique about the girls, you wiil mostly have to read about DNA sampling.
- Most girls dont have any significant role, they just exist to be options for sex.

This game is for someone who wants to walk aroud the city and fuck everyone. There are no special quests to unlock sex, just a few days of repetative interactions and you have full access.
