Ren'Py - The Headmaster [Mykock's Manor Ch.3] [Altos and Herdone]

Best game on this website easy, there are other good games such as Four Elements Trainer, GGGB, and Pink Tea's games, but this one easily takes the cake, can't wait to see what AltosandHerdone do in the future with this game.

TLDR: One of the best trainer games out there. Good writing and characters but weak management gameplay. Strongly recommended.

This review is for version 0.7.2 of the game.

The headmaster is one of the best trainer type games that I have played. The game really shines with its writing, humor and characters. It also deliver a domination/training fantasy satisfactorily. The weak point of the game is current lack of content (duh, it's still in development) and the management gameplay. Here is some pro-neutral-cons that I see:

Pro:

+ Diverse and likable characters
+ Deliver the domination/trainer fantasy
+ Pretty art
Neutral:
~ Shallow management gameplay (To some people this may be a pro, if you only want something to fap. To some others this may be a cons)
~ Linear story/quest
~ Need more content (duh)
Cons:
- Some bad animation like the spanking ones (I think just adding some eye blinking, small body moving will improve animation vastly. Right now the unmoving part of the body is like a log and look really unnatural)

Played a lot of these games recently and IMO this is the best ............., Well written, funny, great story,..... great characters and some of the best animations ...I have seen to date on Ren'Py. Played through it twice already and going for a third time , HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

Very coherent, self-consistent and extremely sexy game. What sets "The Headmaster" apart from a sea of similar games is that it actually feels like a complete game, an internally consistent experience and world that makes sense to you as you play, and enjoy the new roles it puts you in.

Other games often end up feeling like a bunch of oddball elements screwed on top of each other, but "The Headmaster" is, by contrast, made with a certain German quality and attention to detail, so it's a rock solid game experience that never does anything stupid to break your immersion in it.

I expected a lot of "otaku crap" to be forced down my throat based off the graphics, but there's actually no otaku crap at all in "The Headmaster". It is not Japanese-themed, at all. And that ends up being very refreshing in this game, because instead of the classic japanese spanking tropes ("Kyaaa it hurts, onii-chan!!11"), this game goes in a different direction altogether and feels more like a western sci-fi thriller. Again, there are no significant japanese elements in it, despite its looks the game's spirit ends up being very Western.

If you enjoy spanking, slow corruption and powerplay of any kind, this is the game for you. The way it's handled here is just delicious, and three heads above the basic spanking scenes you may have seen in other games. It's also absolutely chock full of sexy girls with unique personalities and fantastic posing work by the devs that gives them real life and cuteness.

An unexpected 10/10 experience that nobody should miss.

It is fun, with humour. The graphics are nice. Good enough to turn me on

The sound quality is good, no overused music and some great sound effects.

Ohy I can't believe I hadn't left 5 deserved stars right here, love the style of this game, and while the gameplay is simple and basic the whole context of it makes it work better than usual, for the simple fact that you're a literal headmaster and certainly that doesn't need much of it. Favourite art style so far, keep it up devs!

I believe this is the best "MC is the Headmaster of a school" game out of the whole lot. For me the only two slightly negative things to say about the game are the current lack of anal and the outdated artstyle. Like I said those are my personal negatives and I'm sure the lack of anal content is going to change in future updates.

It is a great game. Usually I do not prefer this kind of graphical appearence but in the world of this game is authentical. There are lot of girls in this game. Story's main focus about punishing school girls and manage school but daily student life problems also fun.

Interesting experience. Normally I don't like sadism but I confess that I found the fusion of psychological interaction, investigation and punishment for "educational" purposes very captivating. The game offers a fair choice of roaming locations and a good number of random events which make the story more interesting. Animations of good level, the characterization of the characters is well cared for and allows a good identification. Insignificant little bugs that I think will be fixed in subsequent updates. Pleasant and quite varied music. The only negative note in my opinion is the cost on Patreon. $ 5 for the latest update seems excessive unless the target is only players from nations with high economic levels. In many countries today, 5 dollars is not a shortage.

I'd rate it 4.5 probably, there is a some content already but few real sex scenes so just check the tags to see if it's worth your time.

It's softcore for now and the tension builds slowly, unlike most games with the same fetishes.

I have had so much fun with this game, and the most recent update I played with the "GoldenEye Watergun fight" was absolutely hilarious and an absolute blast to play through. This game has a lot going for it, and you do have to have some suspension of disbelief when playing as obviously the game setting/scenario would never happen in real life (but aren't most porn games like that?)

You take the role of a headmaster in a new school for women who have done some sort of criminal act and have been delegated to your special school in order to 'correct their behavior' and 'help them pass school'. The game at it's core is definitely a visual novel, but it's very well done in the way that it doesn't feel like a visual novel. Giving you several prompts on an overview of the school grounds, several choices that affect stats of your school overall, and different storylines between various characters.

There isn't a ton of 'penetrative' content, I believe there may be one scene if my memory serves me correctly, but the majority of content available is in my opinion very kinky/fetishy and makes up for there not being insane amounts of intercourse throughout the game. Punishing girls by spanking them, humiliating them, or 'pleasuring them' (lol sounds weird, but play the game and you'll see) is a fun and interesting way to develop an adult game and it's definitely unique in it's own way for this approach.

This is one of those games where I patiently await new updates because the story (while very unrealistic) is very fun, interesting, tongue-in-cheek, and most importantly self-aware.

I personally think this game deserves a playthrough for the 'GoldenEye WaterGun fight' alone. I don't think I've EVER laughed so hard or enjoyed an adult game for content that actually wasn't lewd in any way, ever.

If this game looks interesting to you, you should definitely try it, but be careful, it's definitely a time-waster in the best way possible and is easily one of my favorite games hosted on this site.

Ah yes, the game about a headmaster molesting disciplining his students....

It might be in the early stages of development, but this game has some serious potential.

-There is a unique backstory to the setting and all characters (which tend to get way to quirky sometimes)
-MC is quite likeable and humerous
-The game presents you with some (moral) descisions
-Lots of freedom and choices
-Babes and NSWF content are hot and don't fall short despite the story focus
-The game can be expanded easily, e.g. in terms of girls, which should ease development in the fuiture (despite its free-roam nature)

-Many core game mechanics, like the disciplining function are unfinished, the placeholders serve to give good impressions though
-Because the game tries to give players lots of freedom some events often repeat, which is inevitable in early development

One advice for the developer:
Please don't go too overboard with the quirkiness.
If game is just too ridiculous it breaks immersion for many people. Best try and appeal to a wide audience

Far as I know, that was a nice game to play. 3D rendering is awesome and I like the 2 main girls Debbie and Rachel. Obviouly, punishing progress are limited to those 2. I hope to see more soon. I would like to create a game like that myself but I don't have any programming knowledge.

The creator shows their love for this with every patch and it just gets better. Proud of be supporting this.
Even though the area isn't going to change, there is more then enough characters to have content going for ages. Each one with their own style.
I'm glad the updates aren't rushed.

Look forward to every update as I thoroughly enjoy every aspect from the excellent and intuitive gameplay with an easy to use interface, refreshingly original and immersive content to the beautifully modelled characters with well developed backgrounds/bios.

So, fair warning, the game is silly. It knows how silly it is, embraces it and runs with it for a full marathon.

The Good.
A very decently looking Honey Select game. I admit I was impressed, the devs know how to use the platform.
The UI is clean and easy to use, you don't need to go through idiotic loops, just to check some minor thing.
The game is lighthearted and fun. Every time it goes full comedy it's hilarious.
The characters are nicely written. It won't be long and you will know them and what to expect of them.

The Bad
Most of the quests are very linear, forcing you to do specific things to progress. There is some variety, but as a whole, despite it's free-roam nature, it's a damn linear game. I'ts actually my only complain about it.

The Ugly.
The story is... well, the story is ok, but the premise of the story is something you come up with while drunk. It would have worked much better if it was just an unnamed country and not so obviously England.
Don't get me wrong, it's a functional premise and once you get past the fact, that the MC should have been jailed from the start... it's not that bad. I'm actually curious about what exactly is the organization that hired me and about everything else going on in that world. But... "Ain't enough students graduating, so we will strip them of basically all their rights..." just didn't work for me.

Conclusion: Barring the premise of the story, the game is fun, enjoyable and interesting. A little grindy at the start, when you have to do your damn best not to get a game-over and almost trivially easy after that. Still, it's a good game and I recommend it.

I was hesitant to try it first because this kind of art (anime like) didn't appeal to me, but I'm happy I gave it a try. I have found a game with good art, very well written, good interface and an interesting story where each character has each own personality.

One of the best games out there.
