Wolf RPG - Completed - The Imperial Gatekeeper [v1.75] [Tengsten]

It's a pretty good game with a creative design. Every stage changes and adds new aspects for some challange, there's a easy mode (plus a way to cheat even further for those who hate grinding). The plot and world building is pretty immersive (Different regions having different kinds of people with some racism involved... Not against black people but against in game races). Most importantly the community for this game has also added a lot of content which is really cool and they help anyone that comes through to do the same.

However the only reason it's not 5 stars is because I don't think it's perfect yet. There's a variety of NPCs (partly thanks to the modders) but this game still needs way more variation in both dialogue and NPCs to feel truly immersive. It's kind of boring to see the same NPC over and over, and the same dialogues (Some even poorly written). If this issue gets fixed you'd want to play sandbox way more just to find all the different girls, maybe the perfect one. Also dva from overwatch is here, why lol.
Another small downside is the lack of routes, it would be pretty nice to be able to go on a different route depening on ur choices. Like that what you do in the game actually matters. For example if you were a civilised guard who followed the bossy girls orders you'd end up in a femdom position. Others might include helping the rebellion & wanted criminals. And the neutral one). Just an idea.

But in no way is this game a waste of time, it's definitely worth your time.

It's a great game! I had a lot of fun with it, not just the lewd shit, but also roleplaying as a very overzealous veteran of the Empire.
My only issue is that there isn't enough content. It's short, it's sweet, and there are a few mods which make the experience a little better, but not enough to make the game worth a full replay, though the sandbox always keeps me coming back.

Great game! I really liked the gameplay, the fact that you can try to be law-abiding and good, and a corrupt libertine. Very cool!

Of course, I would like more gameplay variety. But there is something there.

This game feels like it was inspired by "Papers Please" , except more sexual. The gameplay itself feels like an inferior version of the aforementioned game, Papers Please was a great game, while this is a good game that was inspired by it.

Overall i enjoyed the game, sadly it doesnt have that much of a story, which is a damn shame.

Papers please but with the ability to molest the people trying to come through your checkpoint. The gameplay is fine but becomes repetitive as rather than progressing on a timeline like Papers, Please does with each day or couple days bringing gameplay changes, you have to grind through missions in Imperial Gatekeeper in order to progress. As a result the gameplay gets too drawn out without enough variation. The sex aspect is extremely limited as well with a few sex scenes and groping the tits of the same dozen models or so.

This is probably only game on this site where the gameplay is better than the sexual content. In this case that's a good thing.

Pre-rendered sex scenes are actually pretty limited, but this is a true sandbox game and that makes up for it.

The papers please-like concept interested me and caused me to download the game. However, I feel like it is very badly executed.

I played around 1h30 and only had one sex scene (which was "meh"). The gameplay was repetitive : except for unique NPC encounters (that are RARE), all the dialogue for random characters quicky went stale (and the English translation is approximative. It is still understandable but remains bad).

In the end, the progression is artificially slow and playing this felt like wasting my time.

I absolutely love this game, mostly because you are not forced into engagements.

And I just have a fun time checking through papers, meeting different personalities and the story. Same with paper please.

I hope a sequel will be released on steam, so I can buy it there. Because I don't trust dlsite.

I've never really encountered a game like this and I wish there were more like them despite some of the flaws in it. I don't need to explain much, you are basically a TSA agent but in a time and setting of kingdoms. There are twists in the plot and great little interactions with each girl that you get involved with in the story.

My gripes with the game are with a few choices. The gameplay is a bit padded. The mission objectives take too long. I wouldn't complain about it if the money I earned from gate searches didn't go to waste and the busy work of the gameplay didn't seem so obvious at times. The unlockable CG content is great but a bulk of it comes later post-game. Considering there are only four women you really get scenes with, it does make me think this needed way more girls or scenes between stage objectives to break up the monotony of the gameplay.

Lastly, a lot about this game gives you choices. You're still a piece of shit gatekeeper, but you can almost always choose how much of a POS you are. You can choose to search female or male persons for example. You can choose to force someone into giving up their weapon by rubbing between their legs or simply denying them entry.

Why this didn't translate to the ending, spoiler alert, where you penetrate your thick superior's ass, is a tad disappointing. I would have liked a bad ending. In other words, teaming up, blackmail, whatever else instead of arresting her. It would take some modifications to post-game but the choice would have been nice. She is the only character who doesn't get a romantic route unfortunately but instead has public shaming sex scenarios etc. Not my cup of tea. Thankfully mostly everything else that is a worse kink in the game like the maid boys are avoidable. Really good execution all around.

Great game! Played it for hours. It's not even a game you really feel like you're wanting a quick pass or cheat card. It has a mix of logic while keeping you interested to see what will open up next for you. I strongly suggest playing this game and giving it a shot.

Absolutely excellent game. It's essentially a hentai version of Papers, Please. This leads to its great gameplay(at least relative to other H games). There aren't a whole lot of unique CGs, which is disappointing at first, but the actual gameplay itself is hot enough to get off to. There is an easy mode, but you don't really need it, the game is easy enough if you're paying attention. The story isn't anything special but there is enough of it to get into the game. The music/audio is good too.

To summarize, this is a great game and I would recommend playing it. I ended up finishing it in 9 hours. There are events that are unlocked after the ending so I spent some time doing that too.

Lots of other reviews so I won't say too much. Papers please hentai edition. Quite fun actual gameplay game. Not too many H-scenes aside from the having sex with people trying to cross the border, but it was still a decent amount of H-content. Not many games let you sexually harass men and women so thats pretty nice.

Also I was curious if there were routes or rewards for being perfect or anything. It seems to be fully linear and doesn't punish anything so don't worry too much.

Played the version 1.52 with every patch instaled.
I've finished the game yesterday, I had fun playing it, but unfortunately it have a very few quantity of H-CG's and four of them remained censored, what maked me curse the japanese governement for the rest of the night, anyways, good game and you probably'll have fun playing it, it even having some censored content, if you use the patches, it turns playable and enjoyable.

A porn game that actually has gameplay, wow.

I do not rate smut games on their innovation- that's just not a factor in whether a piece of pornography is good or not. This is the game Papers, Please, repackaged as smut, and it works excellently for it. More adult games need to take entirely existing mechanical frameworks like this and throw their own coat of paint on top of it. It uses an engine capable of its genre instead of trying to force its gameplay loop down the throat of an engine barely capable of it, which is a decision rare enough in the porn game dev community that it deserves praise.

You're a veteran, fresh from a war. You've been restationed as a border guard, and in Papers Please fashion, conduct customs interviews with travelers who seek entry to your borders. As you successfully meet the criteria handed down by your superiors, you progress through the game. The criteria then becomes more complex, which complicates your process, in a nice little gameplay loop of escalating challenge.

The game can actually be played more or less without engaging in the smutty content, which makes the power fantasy more real for the player. This sort of situation is terrible in real life, but in an immersive fiction where none of the characters are real, the scenario is titillating. The optimization of the game and the random character generator works well, resulting in smooth gameplay with enough variety for its mechanics to remain fresh for how long you'd actually play it.

It also doesn't distract or get bogged down in stuff outside the Border Guard role, which also earns it points for focus. This allows for its core features to be refined, to work smoothly and without bugs, and to explore its ideas a bit more. You don't just have the option to strip down the travelers, or to violate them, but also to engage in corruption, selling their clothes for cash. You can do things like go through the whole violation deal, and still send them away. Stuff like that. The thrill of being evil, petty, corrupt and mean is something only games can explore safely, and this game knows what it's about.

It'd be nice if this scenario was only fantasy though, and wasn't a real world thing people go through. But, for this game, specifically, it's one of the better produced smut games out there, remaining focused, using an appropriate engine, and having a good aesthetic. If non-con domination/humiliation is up your alley, this game is a good way to explore that.

However, if you're unfamiliar with the concept, you play as a border guard, in charge of inspecting papers, ensuring the people before you are cleared to pass, and making sure no weapons or contraband get through the border you're in charge of.

People who don't have papers will try to bribe you with sex in order to get you to let them pass.

It's a fun little time waster, art is good in my opinion, there is a story, but it's loose. Most of the time is spent groping and stripping people trying to cross the border. All in all a pretty decent game.

good game with good art. It was kind of confusing when it came to unlocking all of the sex scenes outside of the frisking gameplay and I didn't end up getting all of them, but the game was pretty satisfying by the end anyway.

I ignored this game for a long time thinking it would not be good, man was I wrong.

Great game! Gameplay is engaging, due to the type of game it was based on, and does have a good blend of content and gameplay.
The gameplay itself was probably the most fun i've had playing a hgame, almost to the point I wasn't rushing to see all the lewd scenes in the game, like I normally do.
That being said, you definitely can speed through and try to get many scenes, while still experiencing a good story pace.
As for visuals, the art style is very nice, with cutscenes and in game content looking nice. Definitely has an atmosphere that a lot of h games lack. Not to mention, I believe this game may have male on male content, but can be entirely avoided, quite early in the game.
9/10, would recommend, only -1 because the translation is very poor, and is a little jarring, but the gameplay makes up for it.
