How many hours do you think it took me to make the map at 19:56? Speaking of buying software, I do own the software I used to make that map. Same goes for my editing software.
Those are obviously just a few examples of the whole vid, but how about we tackle the "generic porn script". Let's leave out the fact that the scripts are written in-character for a moment and assume that it is indeed just a generic 'porn speech' and let's do some math with the assumption that we make no pauses to think what we're writing whatsoever. All of the last month's content we released had a total of 36 192 words in it. An average person can type around 40 words per minute. This means that, with the assumption that the person typing the script would take literally zero pauses to eat, shit or even think, it would have still taken over 15 hours to write it. Obviously, it takes a lot longer because, even if we wouldn't eat or shit, we still need to think about what we're actually writing, especially if we wanna stay true to the character's canon personality. Which we always do unless it's our OC.
Now, the above only takes into account
writing the script. After writing it, it needs to be actually voice acted and then put into the vid. Let's skip the voice acting for now and focus on what you said instead. You're right in saying that this part it is indeed just "adding text onto images". So let me ask you, how long do you think does it take to add 36k words worth of lines into a video, so that it matches perfectly with the voice acting? How about you try and do this in less than 40h and if you manage it then I'll buy you a beer.
Look, I know that there are HJOI creators out there that put out shit slideshow content and make most of their work patreon exclusive hoping for some easy money. I have no love for those people either, they pollute our niche with soulless, minimal effort garbage. They won't go out of business though and the reason for that is very simple: They have no business. Those are all the people that had the same mindset like you, thinking they can just put a few generic porn lines over some random images and this will make them easy money. It doesn't. Almost nobody buys their shit. They're lucky if they make more than $50 on Patreon. Everybody just ignores their existence. There's only a handful of those creators that make any sort of 'real' money, but even those only make few hundred $ top.
Anyways, this will be the last rant I'll make here, unless there's something worthwhile to talk about. Contrary to some people's belief, I actually have work to do.
