Later on you might wanna avoid talking to some female dwarf in the dwarven city's bar then. I remember that scene souring me on Hilstara. But like i said, most others are unmissable and happen before Simon's blank stare, so eh.

I get you. That happened to me to in other parts of the game as well Oh well, I guess that's just one of the weaknesses of an RPG game with so many choices...

Yarra and Qum scenes during the gathering:
It is sex demons having sex during what's their sex olympics. It is pretty pointless to take personal offense from that considering the whole concept of succubi, where sex can be just a matter of courtesy. Still, the dev cuts down on those scenes for the rest of the game because she really didn't want to ruffle any feathers in this department.

Hilstara's scene with Galvia:
Okay I honestly didn't know there were people that take issue with this scene and that confuses me a lot. Hilstara is bisexual, she will ocasionally want to have sex with women, are people taking offense that Simon somehow isn't "man enough" to make Hilstara not want women anymore? I mean, its not like there isn't plenty of lesbian sex within the harem with Simon not being involved either, so is the problem that Galvia isn't part of the harem? Are people then jealous that Hilstara got to fuck a woman Simon didn't? Or is it some sense of "ownership" where it is only okay for the people in the harem to have sex as long as all the people involved "belong" to Simon? I can't really find an explanation that doesn't feel twisted.

This is all without mentioning that the whole concept of "cheating" is pretty silly in the context of this game, it is contradictory to enjoy the fact Simon gets to build a huge "harem" while frequently adding more women to it, but then getting pissed whenever any of Simon's partners gets to enjoy a fraction of the sexual freedom he has. And all of this in a game in which one of the highlights is how the relationships are written in a caring, fair, and rational manner, instead of being the generic porn rpg logic of "you did this one good thing for me once and then we had sex and it was sooooo good that now I will serve you and only like you and follow you unconditionally for the rest of my life". Its like people want Simon to be just like the Chosen, except smarter.

I could understand if people felt jealous or displeased if the game had scenes where any of the non-succubi women had other male partners since it could be possible to take that as competition. But getting annoyed at scenes where the women sleep with other women (something Simon is not), or that the succubi have sex with other people as part of their customs (and so isn't about affection as much as about them getting to show off their powers), it just doesn't make much sense to me.

To be fair, if someone was paying attention to the story in regards to Simon learning about what is, and actually being an IK and the effects of the Shards, their jealousy would still be misplaced, unless it were another IK.

It being "different strokes" is exactly my point, TLS doesn't play like a generic porno-harem game, if anything it makes fun out of a lot of tropes from that genre of games, I honestly cannot fathom how someone can miss that from the satire of the chosen.

Maybe you should "just accept" TLS is a different stroke from your kind of generic porn game, you don't play as Super Chad Thundercock, women characters are not just tools to inflate your ego, and the power fantasy comes from actually being a good leader and achieving meaningful goals rather than being worshipped and having all your little whims obeyed, before going into "useless tangents" about the MC being an unfeeling cuck because he respects the autonomy both he and his loved ones have.

no need to apologies. and if i sound a bit aggressive, i was not. english isn't my first language and language barrier are a real problem.

and strictly at techincal level the two thing aren't incompatible. at the start of the project the dev missed the knowledge for making a scene gallery, but beacuse the feature was planned far ahead she posponed the research of a solution.

Eh I can understand why People don't like those scenes its about personal preferences. What I don't get agree with is the notion That Simon is an unfeeling robot it reeks of a person that views Any character that is competent as unrealistic or uncaring. I think people just play the beginning then quit. Simon at the start is purposely distant he is old soldier that lost people close to him and was constantly trying and failing to entice change he becomes disgruntled, pessimistic and cold. Simon is far from the perfect person he threatens to torture and kill Yarra, Killed someone for his products, didn't view Succbi or orcs in a positive manner all these are character flaws Simon does even more questionable stuff in the future and based on personal choices. But there are hints that Simon isn't just a robot for example making jokes, Protecting Aka, Remembering his wife and getting mad at yarra for talking about sex after that, Telling the old man to keep his fingers to himself, Seeing robin for the first time all things shown early on. Being competent and having some morals doesn't make him Not flawed or unfeeling.

A relationship can be commited and still be open, the harem can be commited in the sense that they won't leave out of the blue and run off with someone else, but still be open to sleeping with people outside of it. In fact, that is how more people eventually join the Harem, by sleeping with someone that is already part of the relationship (normally Simon).

Also I think there is a big difference between saying that succubus nature and culture "doesn't matter at all" and "isn't the only thing that matters". By the gathering Yarra was already super commited to Simon, but she is also a succubus and she understands that for events like the gathering refusing to participate in the sexual events would mean losing face, specially for a notion as alien to succubi as monogamy is. At no point her intention was to "cheat" on Simon and the sex she had there was just an "activity", as it would be for most traditional succubi events. The fact that she resists the Incubus King shows the difference, the stuff with the other succubi and the orcs was just for sport, but the Incubus King actually wanted to claim her away from Simon, which is why she resisted him with an incredible ammount of willpower.

In lore I believe simon Does get Jealous telling the old man to keep his fingers to himself, Giving Wendis a stare during the dream, and megail Saying "he's possessive but not an asshole" Overall if the people in the harem Wanted to screw other people he would be upset but wouldn't stop them because he doesn't want to control them and wants them to have autonomy in their lives.

In my impression I think the best word to describe Simon would be "protective", he definitely would watch anyone strange approaching the harem like a hawk, but once he asserted that the person wasn't an asshole and that anything that could happen would be strictly consensual, I don't think he would hold any resentment. Not like we can get more than vague guesses since the dev decided to not explore this angle of Simon's personality.

Yeah, I just want to clarify I have nothing against people that don't enjoy this part of the game, those scenes are far from being my favourites too. But they are a part of the story and, in the story, there's nothing wrong with them, so its frustrating when some people start reading into them like they are being written as cheating fetish scenes or that they mean Simon is an unfeeling cuck or whatever other ridiculous exageration people can take from it. Even more so because one of the themes of the game is to make satire of some rather "entitled" porn tropes, so the fact that the dev decided to concede and not poke fun at this specific type of "entitlement" and moved away from this type of content, only to still have people being upset at it, it really does remind me of the saying "you give them an inch and they will want to take a mile".

I agree Sorry if I unintentionally came across as bashing or blaming you for continuing the drama which I don't believe. I was really just blaming the whole situation lol! We view things differently and that's fine and its just semantics especially now since they Dev doesn't want to explore that side. The irony is that the only ones getting riled up is y'all. And from what i've seen, it's something that happens a lot around here. Someone says something different from the norm and the whole squad comes in, offended over a handful of words, wielding passive aggressive essays on to why they are wrong.

Next time ask why someone thinks as they do, rather than immediately getting overly protective and jumping to conclusions. We're talking about a porn game, as much as y'all would like to believe it's the next divine comedy, and if nothing else it might allow for some actual discussion, rather than a short-lived circlejerk followed by months of "how do i do this/how do i do that".

Or just keep doing as you doing, as i'm sure you'll do, can't say i care. I sure know i shouldn't even have answered monk_56, though. All those precious minutes of my life, wasted.
