And a bit of update about the progress. I've been working on adding more facial expressions for the characters. After that, I will revise the current map navigation UI. Then, with some clean up on the codes, I should be able to throw out the v0.1 of the game! I said in Discord I was hoping to have the v0.1 released in August. While I'm still aiming that, I might have to push it to early September as I'm a bit behind the schedule rn.

Currently, I plan to release the full version of the game in Jan 2026. Before that time, multiple updates will be released in F95 and Steam. So most likely 1 or 2 updates per month in the coming 4 months.

Also, now our characters know how to blink!

Wow, that's pretty fast! How big do you plan the game to be? I mean, how many playtime hours for a single playthrough do you aim for? How many sex scenes for a single character? What about replayability - would a player be able to see everything in a single playthrough, with different endings branching near the end of the game, or there are going to be several mutually exclusive routes, branching out early?

No problem! You should build the schedule that's comfortable for you. After all, it's not a full time job, it's more like a hobby.

Text Based
If your game is going to be a regular visual novel, I'm not sure it warrants a 'text based' tag. It seems that this tag is mostly for HTML games which are mostly text and a few pics here and there.

About that. I think some guys would see the AI tag and be immediately thrown off. I won't propose to change the tag, but may be the features list could be updated with the explanation of the graphics pipeline - that it is 2D drawn by hand, using 3D models as base and an AI touch up. Perhaps with a link to this post.

I’m aiming for a single playthrough to last 3 – 5 hours, with each offering a unique storyline for different characters, leading to distinct endings. Each character’s route will reveal part of the backstory and let player have a better understanding about the character's motivation and intention. Completing all routes will provide the full picture. After the initial playthrough, additional character routes should take 1 – 2 hours each.

The routes are mostly mutually exclusive, but it may be a little bit tricky to get into some routes. The adventure in the game is about you trying to trigger different events in the game by making choices, and by triggering certain events you open some routes. It is possible to open multiple routes at the same time. I think the excitement will be mainly given by triggering some unknow events in the game.

The current system is that you have 7 time slots per day and you can go to different places in the mansion in each time slot. Some times you will meet some characters and trigger some events. After 7 days, you are forced to go to the default ending.

Overall, this game will be a medium-length erotic horror story with elements of mystery and the supernatural, spiced up with a little bit of interactive elements to deepen the immersion.

I've been thinking if I should use the AI tag for a while as well. I guess it's probably better for me to be transparent with it for now. Using AI is a fairly important process in my workflow anyway and currently I don't think my art is as good as some other artists who don't need to rely on AI anyway

Got it. A shorter kinda game with a lot of branches.

That can be fun, but for completionist players it could also be frustrating. Do you thing you could include a solution/walkthrough with the final release? Perhaps as a bonus for Patreon supporters / Steam buyers.

I agree with you on keeping the tag, but I think it would be beneficial to explain that the visuals are AI-"enhanced" not AI-generated. Thus my proposal to add another feature point explaining your pipeline.

Hopefully I don't need to push any deadlines further :coffee:

I plan to include a written guide with the game, or have it available somewhere online, as I myself also need such guide to keep track of all the events in the game.

I have the same concern when adding the AI tag as well. I think will explain that more when I make the game thread of the game.

Based. I mean, not every single character has to have such a scene, some cutie-pies (like MC's gf) can be spared, but if fellatios are a a new normal, anal sex should be such as well. At least in porn.

I think there is a symbolic meaning in anal sex in fiction. Usually it is a symbol of corruption, seduction, unorthodoxy and it brings the joy of breaking morality (or can be a real enhancement for such feeling), so it has be be used sparingly. Otherwise the effect will be diluted
