This is a very strong opening, impressively well-written and putting Ye Olde Twine to very good use. I hesitated to play it because I thought there wouldn't be enough content, but what's there shows a lot of promise.

I would agree with some of the above that progression is somewhat slow, but it makes sense if we're starting out as a righteous man of the church to see a gradual descent into debauchery, starting out slowly at first. Personally I could do without the horror porn stuff but eh, it serves the plot.

Sadly, I was certain you had this wrong, until I replaced 'younger' with 'more recent' in my brain. Took me several minutes. Getting older totally blows.

As expected, I enjoyed playing what you've developed so far, Alcahest , and look forward to more.

I just have to say to TrapmanCrothers and other reviewers and commenters that I'm happy the story is well-received. I didn't know if people would feel that there were too many details and references to history, religion, etc, but so far it seems my audience is sophisticated enough to appreciate it.

I don't know what that could be. I put up a very early demo on discord for patrons like 6 months ago, but that's it.

Honestly it felt like two years... I mean in some places it's still March 2018. Perhaps someone posted it somewhere else... I can't remember when exactly I played it.

There has been other games that included nuns (and sometimes priests). But you didn't include enough information about the one you are talking about for anyone to clear up any confusion. Maybe you're thinking of one of these:

The whore of babylon is the only game that inspired me in making my game as far as the theme goes. I saw it once and it planted a seed in my mind, but I only played it a couple of minutes to check it out and then it took maybe 6 months before I came up with the idea for the Monastery. I think the only game with a nun I've played for more than a few minutes was NLT's Lust Epidemic.

Another game that planted a seed in me and inspired me was Become Alpha when it came out, because it showed me that you can make good-looking HTML games.

I'm starting to think it was Whore of Babylon. I'm downloading it now. There aren't many games taking place in the monastery after all. Thank you.

Jana Cova is in the game as a nun, Sister Desiree named there, largely using the same image set. Also with other nuns, notable Daria Glower as Mother Superior and some other minor characters later in the game

I'm done, I'm now on day 25 and every quest needs at least 15 corruption and there is seemingly no way to raise it anymore, there may be some way to raise it or it can be done through RNG but I'm not wasting an hour or more to find out.
