The most despicable MC of them all

Over the last few years, I've really grown to love VNs. One thing many of them seem to have in common is just how depraved the horny MC is -- I mean it's common to find MCs in games who molest family members while they sleep, sneak around the house peeping on relatives, lie and cheat their way into people's pants, etc. Less common, we have the real deviant MCs who have no problem blackmailing others into sex, using magic or super powers to take what they want, and some just straight up use threats or violence to get what they want.

That got me thinking... Which games have the worst (I know worst is a relative term) MCs of all -- the real psycho bastards who are so far out there, they almost make you feel dirty playing the game? For me, the games that come to mind are Enslaver (all 3 games), Rape Day, and Raptus. I think I've downloaded 260 games so far, and nothing comes close to these 3 in the messed up MC category.

I would say this guy, and he's most definitely an evil psycho, but iirc the most depraved choices are up to the player.

That's not interesting at all, actually. Writing with deliberate intent is what creates interesting characters, not some botched job at characterization.

But reading your post again, maybe I interpreted it wrong. If by "interesting," you mean amusing, then I agree with you. This type of MC is actually extremely common. "Oh, imma just sleep rape my mom real quick... but I love my family dearly and want to protect them from the evils of the world!"

The MC from But I'm the Bad Guy is an absolute rapey piece of shit asshole regardless of what choices you make in the game. It's just baked into him. I hate playing as dicks, especially when the game gives off the impression of agency only to disappoint with how limited your choices actually are in guiding the personality and morality of character.

The MC from Friends in Need. Even on the "good guy" path he is somehow both a horrendous simp and a middle aged creeper who uses his newfound wealth to get in women's pants, preying on anyone from a naïve immigrant to a fucking teenager, all under the guise of altruism.
This is on the "good" path, mind you. There's also an "bad guy" path, which I admittedly didn't touch, but I can only imagine he gets so much worse.

I think redknight00 nailed it when inferring some developers don't even know how evil/creepy their own MCs are. As a developer, I tried to be careful of this, but I admit, when developing Paradise Lofts (a game with loads of sexual interactions), I gave the player some options that I felt were a touch creepy. Still, I tried to keep things light and always with 'consent' involved, as it fit that theme and world. Unfortunately, never got to finish the game where the big reveal is Big Evil is pouring an aphrodisiac in the water supply, which is why everyone is so easily bangable.

this doesn't really register on the extreme scale, but the MC in bad bobby saga was a full-on psychopath rapist with a kind of cold indifference to his family that I haven't seen before. a lot of incest games with sleep sex etc. are blamed for it, but in this game it was actually true for once.
