VN - Ren'Py - Abandoned - The Mound of the Termites [v0.55] [Smeyle Entertainment]

Story and scenes were engaging. Never got bored with the dialogue. Some games you just want to skip the dialogue. Not this one. Renders are really nice one of the best I've seen. Can't wait to see more content on Lada, not just her sharing and adding more women, I mean it's just her and the MC.

So the first warning about this game is that it is a game where you steal your stepmom from your dad, so that should be a disclaimer, dont play if you aren't into that kinda thing.

To the actual game I frankly love it, the female models are amazing, all of them are very attractive so far, there is a lot of great sex scenes and you can choose how to interact with your stepmom, whether to love her, or just use her for sex, with different dialogue. The story is pretty good, but the canon decicsion are obviously to treat your stepmom with respect, and you both fall in love. Along the way she encourages you to have sex with some other girls that are fronds of hers, so it is effectively a harem, but so far there are a lot of sex scenes and they are nice.

The main issue with the game, is that if you aren't on the Love path the game has some errors where it skips dialogue or scenes, but this can be fixed later.
Overall the game is great.

A refreshing game , i love it .

animations could use a little more time spent on them but the story is really good. the frequency of events is good never feel like it's been too long since the last scene. i would recommend going back to check grammar and spelling maybe touch up on early game animations so that the quality matches across the board.

Overall a pretty average harem/stepmom game. Some nice interesting looking characters and a pretty straightforward narrative that doesn't take long to get going, but the animations are a bit odd and janky and the MC's dick is absurd in a couple of the scenes. Not highly recommended but worth a go if you don't have any better games to play

As of .4 I'm liking a lot of things so far, but the major thing that needs adjusting is the story. I'm not talking about the typos (that's an easy fix), but the story itself. Take Karen, the ex, for example. The break up didn't burn bridges, but she hopped back on that dick a little tooo quick (didn't feel natural). And people are a little too quick to be accepting this affair/polyamory thing. Also, I kinda wish that Lada's dialogue to be a bit more dynamic depending on what path you're on.

I share @Sarkasmus sentiment in that the sex just fizzeled out right at the beginning. I said a lot of negative stuff here, but I do like what I see here. The general plot points are good, they just need refining.
One big plus is the character model rendering. I can count on one hand how many devs actually have their characters emote- instead of them doing the typical super model pout.

Good story,good animetion,nice characters design although have a little problem when playing for a while it will start lag or delay and need to re-loed save game again for fixing the problem but still will be the best if it's gonna be harem story and fix that lag problem. However it'll be my new favorite game though!

This game is perfectly average. For every one thing it does great, there is another thing in the same category it screws up royally.

The renders look quite good. Of course, whether or not you like six-packs on women is always a question of taste. But I have to say: Even if I normally don't go for that, this dev pulls it off. I like the models, even with their six-packs.

The Animations though... that's another story.
Some of them are perfectly fluid and look like someone put A LOT of work into them. And in the next scene you see an animation that looks like the dev simply lost interest half way through, or cut it in half to reduce the filesize (but now it simply doesn't loop anymore).

I REALLY like where the story goes. This has a lot of potential. But the writing made me ask myself multiple times: Am I having a stroke while reading this, or did the dev had one while writing? The grammar in this game can be quite weird. And don't get me started on the typos. "His foods are tasty", "Having a pool sex"... and how do you go from "Yale Universitiy" to "Yeil University"!? You wrote it correctly before!

The Porn-Content started out very strong! Like, "plowing a virgin for hours, till she is barely concious and short of passing out from all the pleasure" kind of strong. But the longer you play, the more vanilla it gets. Of course, vanilla is code for "boring"...

And then there are the technical problems. I don't know if this dev has anyone proofing his scripts, but he really should get someone for that. Anal-Content is implemented, but can't be accessed, because it checks the wrong variable. Text is barely readable, because it's pink, with purple pixelating textborders, and the textbox-background is fully transparent. Then you suddenly can't proceed, because he has a typo in a variable.

But according to the dev, v0.5 is almost done and will improve everything. Let's see. I'll play it.

I liked this one and think it has alot of potential going forward.
It has a few things which could be better like overall renders quality / less typos.
What did really impress me was the change in facial expression after your picks like lada blushing for example, in my opinion that was really well made.

A third update and not a single review yet? Since I liked the overview story I wanted to give this a try, wish there would have been an objective review so someone could've told me how awful it was...

Disclaimer: I played this game for about 5 minutes before I quit. I just couldn't go on any further... So the review is technically only for the first five minutes, although I doubt it gets a lot better after that.

So, what's positive? Not much. Your step-mom's face looks really pretty. Also, the first scene where the title of the game is explained is kinda nice. But after that it goes downhill fast.

The graphics were nice in 1997 but not in 2020. With the exception of faces and a few close-ups, the renders have no details and no textures. Rooms are empty with just some basic furniture. And your step-mom's skin is shiny like she's a plastic sex doll with comically large breasts.

Unfortunately the story is even worse. You dislike your new step-mom but after six months you still don't know her name. Your father gets mad at you because you got a 97 instead of a 99 on your math test ("and even a 99 is not good enough, are you even trying?"), then you father also acts like a dick towards your step-mom and you suddenly feel sympathy for her. So the next day you have a talk with her to get to know her better and you decide to rape her...

And that's the moment I decided I had seen enough. The only reason I'm not giving this game 1 star is because I didn't play it until the end.

Good one here, nice VN, nice body types on the girls and I loooooooove big titties, especially when Dev makes them look 'real' (as in a bit saggy, on the ex-girlfriend)
No complex story, but still intriguing enough, a bit different from the 'normal' incest stuff.
The name for Mom got me confused all the time though, you know, it's also a Russian car brand, so that's funny, Lada this Lada that, Lada takes my dick ...
