People are complaining that this game is basically still in Alpha despite having so much content. We will make it that the game won't require a new save unless it's actually impossible to not need it.

No. In fact we actively advise people continue to play Rogue Like as our game has a different focus.


It was said they wouldn't when we released the new update.


You would be missing out on half of the added content if you don't start a new one for this update. Also this game is in active development.

I don't understand this mindset when most games on this website often require new saves. Like it's the norm. It's rare that a game NEVER requires a new save.

New content was added to earlier points in the game.


I wouldn't call the story events mini. We did add random sandbox interactions though which I would call mini but I believe it makes the world and the girls feel more alive.


For people complaining about the game still being an alpha, this is sound advise.

We're following the comic timeline. If a girl shows up in the comic, we've at least looked into viability of adding her.

Also there is no original. This is not an update or replacement for Rogue Like.

We did want a different presentation so people aren't staring at the bottom of the screen. The character sprites and facial expressions are a lot more active in their movement and we're proud of some dynamic things we do with the backgrounds that we made it that people would have to move their eyes from just one location.

We however do not want to inconvenience people if we can help it though.


Things got cluttered real fast so we decided to nix them.


More focus on the story and you can't turn the girls into cum addicted sluts. No judgement if that's your thing but that's just not a feature planned for this game.

Save editing will genuinely break the game. We've streamlined things that you won't need to cheat to get points.


We've intentionally made things non-uniform. Oni's game may have different starting points but pretty much everything is the same.

We decided to make each girl a different experience in what they're comfortable with to make things less repetitive.


And you're free to play that game if all you want is simple sex. We've never said otherwise.


This is factually incorrect.

X mark means no quirk. No quirk equals they behave closer to the comic book.

People say we didn't add an explanation but we did. Nightcrawler explains it and it's showing the dev team that people are actively skipping the tutorial and then complaining that they didn't have a tutorial.

Yes. We wanted to fix and streamline some things. Next MAJOR update will be to finish chapter 1. The plan is to make chapter 1 feel like a complete game.


A lot of story. We have platonic routes for each girl.

Although if you really don't like any of the girls, we have discussed the possibility of a chapter skip option as the game gets further into development.


Using cheats breaks the game because of how event heavy it is. If you want all the girls naked to have an orgy in the quad, play Oni's game.

We're not a replacement.


We will do our best. As said earlier, we're gonna make sure we don't break saves unless it is genuinely impossible otherwise. It's the unfortunate state of being an in development game.

I mean, I get it, games are subject to change but wouldn't the smartest way of developing a game be to make sure that v0.1 is as great as it could possibly be so you won't have to come back later and change things? That way you could build on the solid foundation that you've set up and you'd only need to add stuff on top of that... that's how I would do it if I was a developer. Most developers actually do that around here (atleast for the games I personally play) which is why they support old save files most of the time. Just my two cents tho.

The Null Hypothesis is a great game so far but needing new save files all the time would actively ruin one's enjoyment in the whole thing in my opinion. Hopefully this version right here will be the last one that requires new save files.

Came to report a bug but ended up reading the feedback posts and it's already been reported. Super enjoyably written game, very much going to be supporting this going forward. There is clearly a frick ton of effort put into future proofing in this update, can't wait to see it take further shape over the next couple years. Whoever is writing the x men twitter (x? ironic af now I think about it) knock off banter clearly has a lot of love for even the characters that aren't likely to pop up in the game. I've chuckled out loud more than once. Keep it up y'all, you have a keeper

It would be nice for Kurt to have more tutorial repeat/hint for next step type convo options, that might help the matter considering some of the complaints I've read in this thread.

I would agree, except we have had a number of scenes with explicit tutorials from Charles or Kurt that people missed. I mean I get it, if you're here for the porn you may not be paying attention to the text. Still, there is only so much that can be done to spoon feed the information.

If it's just some additional conversations and a render or 2, and doesn't add much content, I'd prefer to skip it.

Its additional conversations that give insight into the characters. If your version of content is just renders, you can safely proceed without trying to catch 'em all.

Quick question, I remember in 0.2 that other characters changed their clothing when winter came. It's not happening so far in my game, has this been changed in 0.3 ?

This is a temporary limitation.

The old clothing didn't fit the new models, so new clothing was commissioned. As you might imagine, having the artist redo all the clothing and then making sure it lines up right again is not exactly an overnight process. So rather than delay, the Devs are going to be releasing the new clothing along with other potential content (new scenes, bug fixes, etc) in a series of smaller more regular updates.

Bug report : For Jean's Spring "Support her during her class demonstration" event the "available action" icon initially shows up in the girl's hallway, but with no character icon. Once you travel there and open the map again, Jean is now correctly in the classroom with the action icon.

Assuming the MC can completely gain control of his nullification power and switch it off, and if Rogue was to then touch him with her powers active since he wasn't "nullifying" her, would she then absorb his nullification power and therefore be able to control her own powers / touch anyone?

I was having similar problems. It might not be a bug in your case: sometimes the characters move w/o time passing. This is actually two different events, one starts in the empty hallway, one in the classroom.

Love the game and the update. I particularly appreciate the style of the changeable pubic hair. I hope that when the sex scene art is redone that the "Hairy" option is natural commensurate to the standing art!
