Just a quick note, but there are no addiction mechanics in the game. Every girl will be with the MC because they want to in some way or another. Also, adding new clothing and outfits is something that was always important to us on the team. We've got a few ideas in the pipeline in that regard that people are really going to like as well

The positive vibes here are really something else. Damn cool to see.
I mean the guy deserves to be compensated for scoring an entire game. More music is gonna be made as the new chapters come in.
We're discussing what we want to do with Null's potential family. 0.3 will give the option to say you're an orphan.
No reason to hate on anyone when we all just want to make the best game we can.

I'd expect Polaris before we get Scarlet Witch. Even though she first appeared in an X-Men comic, Scarlet Witch left the book pretty early on and has been associated with the Avengers for far, far longer and, considering the dev team is big on their comics knowledge and planning to introduce new girls roughly along the lines of the comic, they'll know and appreciate that. Meanwhile, Polaris has always been an X-Men character through and through. Plus, magnets bitch.
Though this gets me thinking: if the devs are planning on introducing the new girls strictly in the order they appear in the comics, then what point are they starting from? Going right from the beginning means that Polaris will come around first, but Storm already being confirmed for Chapter 2 suggests they'll be working from Second Genesis (which makes sense considering Polaris is the only 60s X-Girl other than Jean, unless you want to bring in Beast and Iceman's human girlfriends). Assuming each chapter would include 2-3 new girls (and only assuming that off the basis of Chapter 1), then Chapter 2 would probably introduce Polaris, Storm, and Kitty.
But that's just me theorising, and it depends on whether they're firmly sticking to appearance order. Plus, the game has already verged pretty heavily from classic Silver/Bronze Age X-Men by making the school aspect the main focal point, like in Evolution.

Null joins the academy a month or so after Giant-Size X-Men.
Just a general reminder, Chapter 1 exists to establish the setting. It's not adapting any specific point in the comics.
We specifically are not letting the player steal people's girlfriends/wives. An exception is Gambit but he has a wife and we meet Rogue long before he does. Cyclops has other love interests he can be paired off with instead of Jean.
I'd dispute this. Oni went in the Evolution direction by making the mansion a standard college situation. We're more leaning toward the Fox Movies and a good chunk of the comics of the mansion being a boarding school.
We do plan on tackling the Silver/Bronze Age but through a modern writing perspective.
Like originally, Jean was just "the girl." Reading over a lot of her early comics, a lot of her behavior is being passive or acting irrationally because she was "the girl."
Rather than be cringe like AAA games and make her a girl boss. We explained Jean's irrationality as college stress as well as concern about her powers during this time in the comics. Even then we let her keep her dignity. We even kept the part of her personality of looking out for "the boys" by acting as a dorm sibling instead of just having her act as the team's den mother.
We're approaching all the characters with this mindset.
