Just like how he can erase the perception of someone in an area effectively turning them invisible to the naked eye, he can also blanket the area Zero is in and make it appear wholesome to the casual observer(with due consideration to other girls already initiated). When people are cheering on, are they cheering a public sex act or what they believe to be a tv showing a game of the Mets?

As for Why he would do it. Xavier believes in Zero, despite every indiscretion every insult every drug addiction chemical subjugation gone sexual, he makes women truly Happy. Kryptonite for sex with Kryptonians always bothered me because:
1. kryptonite is extremely radioactive and causes cancer in humans. (and infertility)
2. kryptonite is extremely painful to kryptonians. ruining any pleasure from the sex.
3. there is literally a much better solution which is literally just red light.

red light painlessly turns them into basically humans.
it does not give you cancer
it does not require super rare space rock
it is not super expensive
can operate from greater distance. allowing you to hang it on the ceiling and thus make for much safer sex (no chance of rolling outside of the like 1 meter distance kryptonite is effective for and then being crushed to paste because the pain has caused the kryptonian to lose control over their strength)

As for "red light"; no. It's red solar radiation. Going to Walmart and buying a party pack of red light bulbs won't do anything. That said, regular solar bulbs are easily obtained and used all the time for growing plants, so I would assume making the "red" version would probably be easily accomplished. They're shown being used in prison cells for kryptonians often enough. The big problem is how long it would take for them to absorb enough of it for it to be effective. It isn't like you could shine a flashlight on Supergirl then bend her over for a quickie.

1. I have literally never seen red kryptonite used in porn, ever. only green kryptonite. I am sure it exists but it is rare.
2. Red kryptonite usually does not depower them. so they will still rip you apart during sex.

obviously you won't get such a bulb from walmart. and wrapping red cellophane over a regular bulb won't do it.
but it is absolutely entirely possible to generate artificially via more expensive specialist bulbs. and is in fact done in canon frequently.
