Honestly her marrying T'challa came out of the left field so much, i have a feeling that someone went "oh, these two popular black characters are black, hence they should marry!".

We're gonna try and make Chapter 2's first update as chonky as possible but there will need to be concessions made.
The following is our priority list.
Chapter story > Story of girls introduced in that chapter > Story of girls from previous chapters > Group events > Bro content.
I'll note that this isn't an update timeline or roadmap. It's just what's considered most to least important when forming a basis.
She also lost her virginity to him when she was 13 and that ain't happening on Earth 69 either.
I will stop fighting only when I succeed.
Kitty was the second smallest girl in Evo. First being X-23 who was 11. Yes this does mean Logan was more accurate in her origin than the comics.

Thats honestly true and incredibly wild that a movie adaptation is more faithfull than the comics.
Also the little detail about her liking horses was cute as hell.

I think Marvel should have gone with their original plan of making him gay in the movie-verse and then transitioned that to the comics, it's one of the few rare times when I agree with DEI changes.
This, her becoming a queen of a isolationist race supremacist kingdom is completely out of character and T'Challa would never pick a woman that he can't control who is also objectively better than him in every way. He's the "if I can't have it my way then I am taking my ball and going home" type and Storm is a team mom type, she would not tolerate a selfish, petulant child for long.

I never said it was a GREAT marriage. And to be fair, he had grown up some. Though he did do a major backslide when the US government tried to arrest his wife.

Storm and Black Panther had been connected via backstory in an issue of Marvel Team-Up or something around about 1980. They'd met once when they were teenagers, had some fun fighting off
Fast-forward 20 years or so and the guys writing Black Panther (Christopher Priest, followed by Reggie Hudlin) decide to bring Storm back into the fold. Then Hudlin marries the two off in 2006, pretty much explicitly just because they're two African superheroes and Marvel's most prominent black characters. And eventually Avengers vs X-Men happens, in which every single character involved turns into a complete retard for the sake of this stupid event and they annul their marriage because RAHHHHHHHH EVERYONE NEEDS TO FIGHT FIGHT FIGHT. I believe Storm and T'Challa have had flings here and there since, but nothing too official.

I will to this day defend that Ororo and Logan made the best couple and they should have been left a thing.
They have the same motherly/fatherly vibe for the younger cast and are tough badasses.
That early strip of Storm being pissed at him as he explains how he hunts deer will live forever rent free in my head.

You got your wish in a recent issue of X-Men!
I always thought it worked quite well too, though at the same time I feel the Wolverine/Storm pairing is best as a low-key, unofficial relationship (situationship?). I kinda like that they've never really been a solidified couple. Just two close friends, the best they are at what they do, who occasionally get a little closer.
If we did allow you to permanently friendzone girls I would have pushed for Storm and Wolverine to hook up.
