The short version is that he can stop someone activating their powers and nullify the effects over a short distance, but not a longer one. The obvious example is that he can stop Jean using her powers close up, but if she launches a radiator at him from the other side of the room, there's fuck all he can do about it except get out of the way. Same with Xavier, he can send his thoughts to people and those people can pick them up. Actively reading Null's mind may be more difficult or not as clear, but it's still possible. And, towards the end of the first chapter, he's gaining more control over his abilities, so having it turned off while psychic communication is happening can be a thing.

You joke, but everything non-pornographic I've written for the game, I've taken entirely seriously and written like it's not, ultimately, for a porn game. Yeah, I'm not writing The Brothers Karamazov, Atlas Shrugged or Billy and the Cloneasaurus, but some of the stuff we're dealing with, I also have extensive background experience in. And from what people have said (the multiple 'I was so invested, I forgot to jerk off' comments we've received, the people theorizing where the plot is going and the occasional requests for a SFW version), the added realism and sincerity seems to be working.

It is actually pretty good, if you had put RPG combat mechanics instead of porn, id be playing it too, this is the closest there is to playing a game where you are your OC the x-man.
