Would have been wizer to have the time fuckery result in a differnt guy from a different family become kidflash. Wally East or something. Changing the race of the family itself is just silly.

More complicated than that - which was very much the point at the time. Won't get too into it 'cause that's something for the off-topic thread, but the gist was that Synch (her partner while in the vault) finally managed to send out a psychic imprint for himself before croaking, but Laura didn't (and also survived in the Vault still). So when they revived them both back on Krakoa, Synch still had all his memories from within the vault, but the Laura clone didn't. They also distinguished her from the original as this clone had a full adamantium skeleton like Logan, which was a fuck-up by I think Elixir(?) misremembering that detail during the process.
After the original Laura gets out, they just agreed that the first one would get revival rights instead of the clone, 'cause again, that was a big issue that this was exploring with Krakoa's whole immortality complex. I'm also upset about how they ended it 'cause it fucked both OG Laura AND Synch, after finally reviving him after 20 fucking years. Let my man have something for more than a year, god damn....
To bring this back to the game though, and this IS spoilers for comic stuff (you've been warned), high likelihood this gets explored a bit if/when Madelyne Pryor comes around in game. Although I do wonder how that would be handled if she does appear. Don't remember if it's been addressed before or not, but I imagine she'd be off-limits in order to facilitate Cable getting born, which I recall was confirmed to happen still, I think? Although nothing saying it couldn't be like a Nocturne situation or something. But it'd be kinda' funny to have her get immediately outed as a clone because she ISN'T all over Null, as she would be otherwise.
Alternately, the writers for the game could go with Claremont's original idea: Madelyne just looks like Jean, and is not her clone. Where this gets hilarious is when Rachel Summers pops up, since she actually was supposed to be the daughter of Scott and Jean, making the fact that Jean's with Null is a huge flag that this is an alternate past, leading to an alternate future. In another words, the devs are not going to have Scott abandon his wife and newborn kid to hang out with the ex who dumped him. This might mean that the X-Factor line-up gets changed, or is just a reserve X-Men team.
Trust me. I will never let the writers name her Scout if she ever shows up in something we create.
Like with most of DC I don't understand the reasons behind any of their decisions.
Marvel? I can find the source of any stupidity they put out.
Honey Badger becoming Scout? They wanted to make her more mature... The stupid part is that she's still like 12.
Destroying Krakoa? Marvel is lazy and cannot have the X-Men transition to a new phase without blowing their home up.
The constant release of event comics? Secret Wars sold really fucking well and they want to make another successful event comic so badly that they even used the name again in 2015 and they don't know how to stop.
But DC? DC has had... Okay before the DC fanboys jump on me technically TWO hard reboots but in addition to that they've had another five soft reboots.

Designs are not finalized until we order the full sprite set and even then they're tweakable.I'm kinda late here but I just saw Dazzler and while I love her design I don't find the eyes striking enough, why not give her something like purple? Would fit her disco theme and be unique like Laura.
We can make 50+ facial expressions with the current girls and people acted like Emma's was gonna be static for some reason.

This actually makes me wonder, are we going to be dipping into New Mutants, or is this purely X-Men proper?
If I'm understanding the vaguely insinuated timeline correctly thus far, I think we'll reach New Mutants and then phase out like right before Gen X - but this is just guess work, so high likelihood I'm wrong and/or the plan changes down the line. Probably won't know concretely for a while if that will get any attention this game. Devs have stated they planned to do off-shoot/sequel projects if everything goes well, though!
For a while the idea of a mechanic has been going around in my head, if the girls are willing to have a polyamorous relationship with each other, it would be interesting that the girls who are not in a couple with Null can become girlfriends with each other. For example, girl A and girl B are best friends, but they are not in a relationship with Null, Null goes out with girl C, girl A asks Null if he thinks girl B would be a good partner, so the player has control with his opinion that they form couples that they like or not, and when girl A and B are a couple, if you have enought trust and love with both girls, they can ask Null to join their relationship, making it easier to go from a monogamy run to a polyamorous run. Even if you don't want to left a monogamy run, can be nice to see the others girls having a relationship.

That sounds interesting and doesn't close you off from entering a relationship with either later down the line. I remember chicks in RLE can fuck given certain conditions. Is that something planned here, ShinyBoots1993 ? Maybe there's a thirst mechanic which, if you don't sate, the girls could turn to play with eachother by themselves. Since there's already art for threesomes and girl on girl type of interactions, I suppose it wouldn't take much effort on the team. I don't remember if this has been talked about before.
I would *really* hope they lock that behind options, if they entertain it at all. It is a super turn off for me.
