Ren'Py - Completed - The Pilgrimage [v2.10] [Messman]

It's janky but well animated and fun.

Some mechanics are unnecessarily boring and obtuse (what are the lewdness level requirements? why do we need to grind sex scenes to access more?) Nothing too annoying though.

Game all about monster sex though. Personally I'd be more of a fan of a realistic angle but it's not 'whacky' enough to break a certain immersion level. Cough cough subverse sucks.

I went into the game hoping for a quick "adventure", but the game dragged on and it's quite good. I do not recommend non-fans of 'rape' and 'monster', as you will always be 'punished' when you lose a battle. There are enough such scenes here. Sometimes the fantasy of the authors is even frightening.

I was very very happy to play this game. From the quality, to the writting, to the kinks it engages in (the slugs scratched an itch I didn't know I had).

I'm generally struggling to say something positive about games I just like, but let me try by saying this game is just amazing. <3
It has pretty great animations and renders, a lot of monsters and aliens to get fucked by (or watch, if you wanna see it that way), and actually involves sex as battle mechanics. Really like the squishy and stretchy look of animations and some of the monsters and Tali. I played it a few times now, still coming back to it and likely still haven't seen all animations and scenes. And on top of that, a lot of the situations you encounter or find yourself/Tali in are quite wacky and funny if not also hot, besides the countless references and parody content. Bug-wise i encountered very few if any.
Only wish there was more futa/trans content in it.
The Christmas Special is really hot and funny and well animated, too. Ambitious and complete parody games like this one feel quite rare and I hope to see more like it in the next chapter. <3

I only just discovered this game and like everyone else said : absolute masterpiece.

I was surprised by the different playstyles it has.
The dialogues are great, the graphics are amazing AND it's animated with lewd sounds and voices! What more could you wish for?

I'll try not to spoil but I also absolutely loved the side events where you have to escape. Sensational stuff!

If you're into aliens/beasts and size difference, then definitely give it a go!

Quite literally a masterpiece. I could write a long-winded review covering all aspects of the game, but it's honestly pointless. Do you like monster sex? If the answer is yes, then this game is a must-play. Plain and simple. Every genre has a couple of games that everyone should play at least once, and this is one of those. But here's a quick rundown of what you can expect:

First of all, you're not playing this game for the story. There's a little bit of plot here, but the plot is a tool that serves the porn, not the other way around. And that's fine. It's great, actually, because this game has a lot of content. Tali gets fucked in every position imaginable and then she gets fucked some more. What's amazing is that even with how much porn this game has, it never feels like a glorified gallery viewer. The scenes actually make sense, and it's especially fun to see Tali's different reactions based on her "Lewd" level.

Speaking of which, yes, corruption is a major element here and you have a lot of freedom to play around with it. You can lower and increase Tali's corruption level at will, which gives you reason to revisit the same scenes without things getting repetitive. I recommend that you play with URM installed, as you can quicksave and change Tali's lewd level in the middle of a scene to get different results. Sometimes it's just a different line of dialogue, but most of the time you get an extended scene, different positions, a more proactive Tali, etc.

But just to be clear, the main appeal of this game is non-con monster hanky panky. If you prefer a more "organic" approach to corruption, you won't find it here. The ship is full of horny monsters of all species, shapes and sizes. In fact, that's where this game shines. You can tell that the author actually likes what he's creating, because the amount of variety and creativity with the monsters is honestly astounding. It's a game that goes all the way with its main theme, no-holds-barred. Animal mutants are the focus, but the game also has humanoids, xenos, alien insects and optional futa. A lot of it will feel familiar if you've played Mass Effect, but prior knowledge isn't necessary at all. Anyone can enjoy this game.

And just as a side note, I really appreciate how this game handles its subject matter. Tali gets "corrupted" but she's still the same smart and lovable Tali we know and love. What I mean is that she doesn't lose brain cells throughout the game as she gets fucked by these monsters. Even after everything, she's still embarrassed whenever someone mentions her "activities" with the local wildlife. The decision to preserve her intelligence and sass shows a degree of respect to the character, and I honestly hope that the sequel follows the same vibe. Hell, when Tali finally manages to escape this situation, she could probably go back to her normal life at the Normandy like none of this ever happened. Just her and Shepard having sweaty sex every day (great idea for a low corruption/virgin ending, btw).

And if you're someone who values animations a lot, rejoice, because every sex scene is animated. Don't go in expecting realism, though. The art style is deliberate and Tali's body has to be very malleable to deal with some of these monsters. But seriously, these are some of the best animations I've ever seen in an adult sandbox. It really feels like this game is a labor of love, because you have to be a madman to animate so many sex scenes like it's nothing and still come up with new ideas to keep things fresh.

In conclusion, great game. It's a must-play if you like monster sex. I'm sorry if this review felt rambly, but all you need to know is that this game is a masterpiece. I'm genuinely looking forward to the sequel.

Make sure that you disable! auto mode, because otherwise it will instantly skip through most sex scenes. Each loop is supposed to be watched for a while, that threw me off at the beginning.

Also, the game is designed in a way that you have to loose most fights most of the time or do "bad" things to unlock scenes. But not always. For example, you have a turret to "protect" yourself and you are told to never let it overheat. If you let it overheat, you get new scenes because you get attacked.

This could either be designed in a better way, or at least explained more clearly.

Story had some potential, but fizzled out in a very unspectacular way.

Still, great game.

ThePilgrimage gave me what I wanted fully: a lot of bestiality, quarian MC, a bit of horror. I like to making imagine RP thingies, and this game gave me the exact base/sandbox for that. But ofc, it wouldn't be all that colorful without: TONS OF scenes in the game, a lot of cool ideas, actuall gameplay, and animations.

I mostly not into Ren'Py games, I played only a couple of a while ago - too slow, tons of teasing and "animations". So I am very into dev's vision in this game.

Finally, an alien game with big dick, lots of content, purple skin, and monsters. The game has so much good content, players actually have trouble finding all the scenes! Other games would have you doing nonsensical quests for hours only to give you a pathetic tease. This game however, has scenes behind every corner and hardly recycles itself. Messman the creator is also highly active and has new content on his Subscribestar every other week. This should be the standard for all FUCKING porn games. 10000000000/10

This game is a masterpiece, I can't believe it took me so long to play it. I played though once and was like ok solid game. I'm gonna download the gallery mod see what I missed. On first play through I think I got around 25% of scenes and was blown away by how many there are. If you count all the fighting animations and some other unused assets. Over 300 animations. That is absolutely wild.

A great game, I did not expect too much the first time I downloaded it, I was surprised by the large number of scenes and routes that are available, the combat is not very detailed, it is simple and direct, or you win or you get raped.

But there is a big problem that the game has and that makes it a bit boring, there are a lot of routes, some with good endings and others with bad endings, but there is no guide to help you get all the endings, the same game does not tell you how you can get the rest of routes.

The first time I played it I felt I hadn't seen all the scenes and I downloaded a gallery mod to see what I was missing “I had missed more than half the game!”, and I had no idea how to be able to see all those paths, I saw a guide that helped me to see a few more scenes, but that guide was for an old version of the game, I had to play it several times to be able to unlock almost everything and still I was missing several scenes that I didn't see.

It's a really great game, it has a great variety of things to see and do, but that's why it's a bit boring, having to start almost from the beginning, several times is stressful, I hope chapter 2 is better on that point.

I almost didn't play this, because it was a Ren'Py game and I don't usually like visual novels. However, it turned out this game is more of a point and click adventure game, and has simple combat encounters as well as the occasional quick time event, which I thought was neat.

As for the sexual content, it's great. All sorts of alien creatures can get their hands on Tali, who is looking great in that suit. There's a variety of bad ends/game overs, some of which have escape/rescue scenarios.

All in all, I'm glad I didn't skip out on playing this, and I can't wait to see how the sequel turns out.

Excellent animations and great story/scenarios. Messman updates the game very often and keeps supporters in the loop with constant content sneak peaks. Probably my favorite game in quite a while. There isn't any other game in production right now with this high level of animation and complexity that features monster/beast content. Highly recommend.

An almost perfect game in my opinion. There are a good number of locations and scenarios to encounter and all of it has been developed in depth. combat is a bit awkward and slow, the various routes and bad endings you can go through are very diverse and exciting. The only issues in my opinion is the ending of the game which feels a bit rushed and a few mechanics and locations that feel a bit underdeveloped. but overall one of the best Ren'py games ive played.

Some basic lighthearted sexy fun can be found but at the cost of boredom.

After seeing tons of 5 star reviews I thought I was in for a real treat. Instead, I kept getting bored. The story is light with boring grind. I never made it to the end of the game.

The renders are average to below average. The animations and sex scenes are excellent (best parts of the game). Story and writing aren't strong points. Creature sex is the main focus of the game and makes up roughly 90% of the lewd content. If you aren't into creature sex or beastality then steer clear of this game. I understood this going into the game so no stars were taken away for this.

Combat gets repetitive rather quickly and so does hacking doors that never stay open for longer than one day. The ventilation system that you have to navigate through and do quests to get to the end was pure frustration!

I didn't mind the primitive renders that much if the story was engaging and kept my interest. The problem is that I kept losing interest and had to keep forcing myself to continue (hoping things would get better) until I finally had enough.

I'm a Mass Effect fan (Mass Effect 2 & 3 were my favorites) but this game didn't do much for me sadly. Somehow I had a different experience with the game than all the players giving it raving 5 star reviews.

An extremely fun game, obviously I love the Mass Effect setting and they do a good job of establishing new characters that almost fit the lore, the gameplay loop can be a bit tedious and I'd prefer if it was a visual novel, but overall it's a great game, with lots of great scenes, and the executive decision that the author had to think of to make Elcor's have horse cocks is hilarious.

It's great, albeit maybe a bit short, and the plot is very strong.

The very beginning may not seem very high quality, but as you progress through the story you can see how the author's skills improve and by the middle and end of the game the game becomes simply amazing. I don't really want to describe every aspect of the game, but believe me, you should definitely try this game if you haven't played it before! it is obvious that dev has put a lot of thought and effort into the game. every scene has different variations, outcomes and surprises. i played the game when it first came out where everything was pixelated, and now i see that at the end everything is high quality and fun to play. i would have liked to see a couple different things but i see them in the second version, besides these things would not reduce from 5 stars in any way.

We all need this kind of games. İ dont want to see just pick choice and watch people talking . Great artwork. Well Done ! Wish main charther was human but it is okey. Just dead screens was annoying it. İf i wasn't save all the time i could be angry.
