VN - Ren'Py - The Power Of Truth [v0.0.5.2 Ch.1 P1] [DogCat Studio]

It's a 3.5 / 5 Visual novel at best.


Story:

I don't really know what to make of the MC, he seems like another mixed bag. Some of his response on both the red path and blue path were interesting. Like if you turn down the Kimberly characters advances he flips out and tells her off which you would think he'd do on his red pill path. Speaking of the red pill path all of the lewd content revolves around making the red pill choices so if you're wanting to see any action then you are sort of shoehorned into making those particular choices otherwise... nada. There definitely needs to be more balance on the blue path. He wants to find his "origin" and that's it so far.


Characters:

I may like Lauren and right now she's in the front runner position along with Gio for the best Li title but for the life of me I'm sick of seeing this model. Like so many devs tend to use the same models over and over again which is sad because I there's so many other models out there but it's like Devs are afraid to explore.

Dialogue:

It's not perfect but it doesn't suck so that's a plus. I don't like being referred to as Neo when there's an option to change the characters name. And it wasn't just a one time thing either. So I would definitely nuke that for immersion purposes.

Renders:

Good.

Animations:

Good.

Overall:

It's better than I thought it would be but still is a WIP. The mystery about the MC's parents in keeping me invested and moreso Giovanni. This again is a solid 3.0 to 3.5 game but considering all the crappy games out now this is still a step above those. Good luck, DCS.

It's a bit too early to judge but I do like it so far.

I'm not sure how much development the LI are going to get just yet. Because as of right now it does feel like lewds do come a bit easy without much character development. Which is a negative for me
Looks like it might have potential for decent branching in future builds

Negatives -
Over sexual doctor and making her a virgin when it plays out like a scene from a porno feels really forced just to include the virgin tag. Would make a lot more sense if it was a character like Lauren.
MC has a manbun ( not enough to reduce the score but some do hate this with a passion)

Overall I like it so far, even if I hate it down the road I would still play it just for Lauren. Because Ive seen her model in 1 other game and she was super cute in that one that I developed a bias for that character model.

But currently this AVN is Average with above average Renders and animations. but there is still potential for improvement.

Questions and answers have no bearing on the outcome.
Just juvenile, not actual conversations adults would have.

Nice start for a VN game. It's early, but I liked the history, nice characters, and a great start. I didn't like the animations much because were kinda laggy.
To resume is a great start and has potential.

Still early to tell how great it will be, but it is a very good start. Keep up the good work.
The renders are well done, the LIs each have their own character and figure.
Not much is happening yet storywise, but there is a plot regarding your origins.
Every female character is interest in you, which might be part of the plot. I hope it won't be too much of a fuck fest or harem, and that the LI will have enough personality to be interesting on several chapters.

Pretty good game. Ok, content-wise for a first release. nice animations and girls models, a lot of choices that seem to matter (they add/remove scenes or add choices during sex scenes), easter eggs, good stuff.

- partially laggy animations
- the first girl you interact with in any sexual way crushes your balls
- not much exciting content
- really not a fan of how the MC looks and his general clumsiness
