Personally I need two things for a game to be interesting in my book:
-First is to have gameplay, I just find visual novels boring to be fair and I give 0 interest towards their fetishes or stuff like that, I started playing games like Rance, kamidori alchemy meister and even monster girl quest, the last one even if it was kind of VN like at least it had some combat and the sex was the combat.
-Second is that you know your public and stop with the "everything is optional", in monster girl quest no character asked me if I wanted the character to give me a footjob, handjob or whatever sex act it wanted, the monster girls just did it cause the game is about monster girls having their way with the MC, in Rance we are a rapist and sometimes good person that seems nothing compared to the rest of the world which is totally fucked up (especially in Rance VI and X).
Just have a soul, personally I do play more japanese games just cause of that, the "optional" of every sex scene is contrary to dynamic relationships or acts, and I get that you may find stuff you dislike, but the only question there is if it's enough for you to not play the game or it is, either way that's the answer.
If the game has those things I will play it, if not I may download a game here and there just for something casual then forget it.
