Mod Updated... And im still trying to figure out the porblem with the saves transfers. And the Other Problems with the witch path but still need more time be patients. please. Thank God the devs are going to take a vacations and have a new game update until next year so i have enought time until that to try and fix those problems i hope to have a solution before that just be patients.
"We" (well at least I do) appreciate all the work you done to make a mod for this awesome game, specially because it is free for us. Hmm dunno about problems with saves, didn't had any but I save very often  I'm one of those crazy people that save in every choice/start of new chapter or episode on a free slot (I have enough HD's space to keep them both on my games and appdata-renpy backup anyway hehe) so if a save won't work I'm almost sure some of the older one do.

Yes there is some issue with the mod on first episodes of realm 3 where jumps scenes and make us lose some content but I solved that easily, I played those without the mod using the pdf walkthrough and then placed the mod after those issues are gone, don't think I missed any scene after checking the pdf walkthrough.
But yeah better solve those because whenever there is an issue or error report on the main thread there is always someone (and often the dev) asking if they are using a mod, like the mod causes all those issues when it isn't haha. So far I refrained to say something there about it but I just let it slide.
I understand some resistance of some people and probably a few devs about mods on their games because they probably receive some bug reports when some mods have issues or simply when people are careless using them.

It seems like I have a unique issue, without the mod, the game loads, with it, it won't load
You don't have permission to view the spoiler content. Log in or register now.
and yes I know it says v0.08, that's just the name of the folder, not the version I'm running

The mod is for the latest game version R3-v1.00, for what I can read there you are running v0.08.
While parsing C:\Program Files\Games\TheSevenRealms-R3-v0.08-pc/game/cheatmod.rpy.
Edit : Dang it why did you put a spoiler on that information, never mind whatever I said lol

What I can tell you is that I' running and playing atm the update with the mod and is working fine, better just wait for Adan so they can read the full error.

If you look at his in-line spoiler, it clearly says that that is the name of the folder it is in. He didn't change the folder name to just The Seven Realms. He just left it as the DL file name but replaced/over-wrote what was already there.

Yeah I noticed after made my post hehe I edited the post lol

And that is what probably is causing the issue haha, why people do that instead of move the old installation save folder and run a fresh installation baffles me. Overwrite files is half way to disaster in a folder of that size with so many files, will keep files that probably shouldn't be there.

Unless there is a "update only" file that is tested to work then I'll keep the older installation. Usually what I do is, download new version of game, extract it to a new folder getting a fresh installation, cut/copy the save folder of old installation and paste it on the new one and then place the mods I want to use. Test it if is loading and running well and if so delete old installation.

What I do is, I have a folder labeled the name of the game. Then, I extract the new game from the zip folder. Move the save file from the old version to the new version in the extracted file. Delete the old version out of the folder named for the game. Then move the contents out of the extracted folder to the named folder. I keep those on a external hard drive so if certain family members get on my computer, they won't be able to get to them as easily as they could if the games was just on my desktop.

Basically what I do but without the security measures because I'm the only one that have access to it anyway. I keep my games on a drive that isn't system drive though. But before I start playing a game I place it in a folder named games in the system drive just because it is the fastest drive I own and I prefer the game to have the fastest access possible when playing them, the other drives is mostly to keep music/movies/games I'm not playing.

I sorta have the same game twice, so I can add patches and mods, though there are some that don't need it like that

anyway, I had deleted the "game" folder, copied it from the other location, and tried, with the mod, and it was still a no-go, so I outright deleted the whole folder, unzipped a fresh copy to the first location, then swapped the "game" folders, from the "Games" folder and from the "Unzip to this folder" folder, and it launches just fine now so I'll leave the other post there, but it is irrelevant to what I need now

Hello, I'm coming to you because I've just made a new game, but when importing from game 02 to game 03, there's a bug with the import that doesn't take us to the right place and completely crashes the game.
Of course, this only happens with your mod, but without the mod, the import is done correctly.

here's an image at the time of import

Not sure if this is a known issue but when starting the game after the first sex scene with Leyala and the cutscene following we're pushed forward into the story to the point it doesn't make any sense...

It is a known issue, probably is better to play first 2 or 3 chapters of realm 3 without the mod like I did (I used the pdf walkthrough for those), it jumps scenes and you miss content that is why doesn't make sense. Its an issue that the modder didn't found a solution yet

just to touch down on the whole "do u have mod installed" is not a far fetched question, you got to understand, that if you tell a dev, X problem happen at Y scene, they have to go through all the codes to see what the problem is? sometimes the problem could be a line at the start at the game that somehow made problems down the line, simply put if part of the foundation is rocky, the higher you build the more unstable it can become, or it is simply a simple line at the given scene.

but point is, no dev want to go through all that just to find out the problem was a mod and they wasted their time. so yes asking do you have mod installed is a relative understandable question to ask. do u have mod? yes, remove it. still problem? okay let me look at it.

same with other modders, they'll also ask, do you have other mods installed as well?

this is a standard with trouble shooting most thing.. especially the equivalent of this question is "do you have the power cable plugged it"

Understood and agree, that was my point, but sometimes it is the way they ask (I'm not dumb, nearly 50 yo made me learn to read in between the lines and you understand from the "tone" they don't want the mod or modders around their game, it was much easier to colab with them, they could even get some help on how to improve their code too) if they are using a mod, not the question itself because I also ask that same question in other games too if I see someone need help and there wasn't any available at that time and ofc if I have the capacity to help.

aah, thats what you mean, alright fair enough and true, there are devs who dont want mod cause it not their intended way to play or bypass certain things you would normally wouldn't, and some dont want to officially collab cause if things go wrong and they do from time to time, they dont want to be held responsible on that part. being two sep entity they each have their own priority and such.

i often see mods stop mods cause dev changed entire codes i could see this causing friction between colabs. but all in all i havent really seen hostilities between dev and mods here.

but yeah i personally use mods/urm for various reasons.

Hehehe because most of them are mature enough to not over extend animosity between them and that is how should be done, it is a public forum and a bit decorum doesn't harm. What I meant on colab between them is mostly on help to clean code, most "complaints" I saw from modders is from devs not keeping their code clean and without redundancies etc etc (I'm not a coder/programmer, the notions I have were from 30 years ago university introduction to Pascal :ROFLMAO: things evolved immensely in those areas). Riam Mar for example colabs with a few, you can even see in their signature. Sancho for example saw plenty of times discussing with devs about the flaws on the code with examples, he meant well and just wanted to help (Dang I miss Sancho, such a cool dude). It is normal, unless the dev is a large team do not expect them to be "expert coders", usually a solo one does all and most the times they are more inclined in the write aspect or image/graphics aspect. In a team of 2 usually is one of each but rarely unless it is a larger team it has a very very good coder, and that is where most the times the best modders excel.
