Hello There
A while ago I talked about making a game so without further procrastination I give YOU...... the name (look at thread title) yay *nano applause*
Basically this thread will be the development of my game.
But first off, some answers to some basic questions:
Q: What the fuck is this?
A: LANGUAGE!!! ahem, it is probably going to be a point and click 2.5Dish pixel style game (not the porn though, that will be drawn animated whatever, but not daz, original work and shit).
Q: Okay then... what is it about?
A: uhhh without giving away too much that could possibly spoil the story if I go into it, basically you be a detective that is trying to solve some murders or other such things... that may or may not have hallucinations that may or may not have some supernatural element to them (still WIP on this part)
Q: riigghhttt...... I would say sounds dumb but I have seen worse on this site *looks at Abyss* *shudders* but what is with the silence and floor in the name.
A: ..... no comment.. O and to answer your question.... that would be a spoiler
but what I can say is it is inspired by depraved awakening, murdered soul suspect, some others that I probably only know subconsciously, and the point and click style and name inspired from a pixelated horror The Last Door
The name was going to be "When Time Is Gone" but it kinda has nothing to do with the story and not easily related to it, just sounded nice. So now it is "The Silent Floor." (same catchiness the last door has.... for obvious reasons.... The Silent Floor before The Last Door XD )
Q: So is this a porn focused game? (Icstor games, summertime etc.) or a game that has porn (roundscape etc.)
A: More like Roundscape, I don't want to force sex scenes into the story if they don't belong there, but since this is a porn forum and it would be good to learn more about drawing and animating everything.
I am going to add a mechanic through the hallucinations where the player can view various objects and the character will see a scene, may be from their past, future?, or them imagining their self in a scenario, or even someone else in a scenario (no limits on what I can do with those, could be any fetish, nothing that I personally don't like though, so the only form of NTR in those scenes would be netori (where the MC does the stealing))
So yeah there were only be a sex scenes if it fits with the story, as the above mechanic will. also you won't have to grind through to get the first scene, there will probably be one in the first "level" so to speak.
A bonus of this mechanic is that it opens up opportunities to get other artists to do scenes for me.

So yeah that basically sums up the basics of it, the engine I will more than likely use is Unity (since I have a basic knowledge of it and want to do 2.5D not straight up 2D) hence the tag.
Currently I have nothing of real substance to show, cause I have been busy procrastinating and studying at Uni, but hey lets see if this goes somewhere.
As for my patreon I am not a cash grabbing cunt so I will set one up when I actually have started to produce something of substance, however I must warn when or if I do, it will not support this or any project the idea I will be going with is to just support me (that way I don't have to create multiple patreons or have issues with porn games on patreon as the site will more than likely be sfw and I post shit here on this forum for free).
You might be thinking "but if you talk about setting up a patreon before you have anything are you not thinking about only doing it for the cash." ... maybe a little but no.
I am more thinking about how I would like to work in photoshop and after affects and would need money for that soo patreon is one avenue that is off in the future about 100 years from now when I actually make something (okay not 100 years but at least a year me thinks) for now I am just gonna try and make and save money to get it myself (which is the realistic approach).
Lastly I don't owe you or anyone a damn thing don't take this the wrong way though, I am more than happy to give you this game and its shitty beta stages for free, but remember I don't owe you anything so don't be one of those entitled arseholes, even if you support me on patreon (if I ever have one) I will keep this same mentality as entitlement is fucking annoying, and I see it everywhere on games with hardworking devs who get shat upon by an entitled idiot here or there, so if I keep telling those people to fuck off then I show them I don't give a shit about them or their opinion
yes there has been a lot of patreon talk because I have thought about it okay, it isn't my reason for, my real goal is to start up my own business making games and not having to rely on anyone for anything, but realistically speaking every company has investors, but I am gonna start out with the mindset of I am the ALPHA I don't need anyone to hold my dick, but I ain't against a little rubbing to help me get there
