3 weeks till 3 months! That is the rule here, so just 2 weeks left. Why 3 weeks?
Here's the actual rule in regards to the Abandoned prefix so that you're better informed. Why 3 weeks?
Wasn't the rule about 12 months since last update or did that changed?
yep, it's abandoned now because of 3 months rule.Another dev lost
Man...people are so entitled these days, it's unbelievable. It is legitimate to have RL problems. But you can also take 3 minutes (which everyone has every day, sitting on the loo while shitting!) to contact the supporters and tell them what's wrong. Instead, nothing for months until you see that the game is “abandoned” here. And then suddenly it works with the report, what a miracle!
In the end, to each their own; personally, for Patreon supporters, I agree they have the right to demand an update because they spare some bucks to fund the game. The update can only contain excuses or rambling as long as it's an update to the state of the game or the devs. Or if the devs really have no time to update, they can pause the billing. I'm not the Patreon supporter; I only rely on the pirate version, so I have nothing to lose by still waiting here.As I said before, I fully understand RL problems and even more how bad war is. But if you now had time to get in touch (the reason was clearly “abandoned”), then it would certainly have been possible earlier. As I said, 3 minutes in the last >3 months.
And we don't know if war is the reason, but here too you can briefly mention whether it is really the reason, then there are no misunderstandings but understanding and sympathy.
And the toilet thing may sound like an exaggeration, but I like to mention it as a funny hint in case someone comes up with the excuse “no time”
I wish you and all others concerned peace!☮
Freedom of speech covers the right to make demands. No patron has a right to demand anything. You may have the expectation but only a handful of people can afford to dedicate their time to game development (and customer support, and social media management) full time. It is in your right to withdraw your support of course. But in the end it would be nice if we could treat each other as humans and not just service providers. You wouldn't want to be treated as a mere business contractor when it comes to something you are passionate about, right?
...and now he posted "Happy holidays" and "just for fun art" and no word about the update. Well, this dev is something special!Holidays are coming and hopefully I will get some breathing room and will be able to finish it till Christmas, I only need to finish writing a few scenes.
