I honestly will dump TS5 cuz:so what do you guys more or less expect from ts5? there's some rumors its going to be "subscription based"(?!?) according to twitter.
I am not going to purchase it if and when it gets released. somewhat because I feel there's no real effort put into ts4 so I kind of expect something rushed or a poor mans version of ts3 with better graphics, which wouldn't be bad.. I also feel like they're saving certain features for ts5,, like cars and open world.
1 - too much money and effort and time INVESTED in TS4 to start all over AGAIN that I SURELY won't spend any of this again;
2 - came from too far to start with BG only and wait all stuff AGAIN - seasons, pets, blablabla;
3 - came from too far to start all vanilla again, waiting centuries for mods and ccs, and then trashy ccs coming first and then all the drama of grabbing, organizing, and haunting paid ones.
4 - i'm over this fuckin patches drama - patch -> update mods -> patch -> update mods - too much for me, I hate the fact they're monthly patching I feel like almost giving up cuz it always breaks tons of mods and is getting harder and harder to catch up when you have over 500 mods - mods, i'm not counting cc - in your folder. AND on top, CCs that usually breaks and need batch fixing. I feel like when TS4 is done I'll be finally ready to sit, relax, chill and enjoy the game once the patches are OVER.
5 - if TS5 is supposed to be this HUGE GAME CHANGE AND EVOLUTION it will require a fuckin GREAT GAMER MACHINE and with all the global economic crisis I surely cannot afford it, specially when my laptop isnt a potato and I bought it to run TS4 smoothly, I won't fuckin just ditch it and buy a new one when this one is quite brand new, 2 - 3 years only and SPECIALLY when dollar makes EVERYTHING more expensive - 5x my money.
6 - again, I wont spend any on the game or machine for the game.
7 - emotional attached, cuz I'm attached to my sims, my stories, my ccs, everything related.
I play TS since TS1, I was around 10? in my cousins computer and house. I was often humiliated back then to him to let me play it. And day after day I had to rebuild my house and remake my family cuz when I returned to play, he'd have killed and destroyed all of it just for fun. I swore to myself I'd get a computer and the game. - Computers where just beggining to get into peoples houses back then and I was too young. When I got my computer I was around 14 and it was TS2. GOD I LOVED THAT GAME. When TS3 released, I tried to play it but I couldn't, I hated the puding faced sims and the clay furniture and I went back to TS2. TS3 seemed like a bad copy cat of TS2, not what I expected it to be, tho the game play was rich, it just felt wrong. Then TS4 finally came up and seemed what I expect TS3 should have been. I migrated and felt very happy. AND am very happy. I don't know what they could offer to make me want TS5. I don't care about graphics, I just LOVE cartoonished style. I don't want other aesthetics as Assassins Creed, great graphics, but not for TS. Just wrong. Online features don't attract me. I still miss TS2, I tried to go back, but I don't feel like it, TS4 is right for me and I still miss TS2 content. I don't wanna handle missing more content.
BTW, you don't need to worry about it cuz it will take some years for the development, I'd say 2025 or so cuz they still have a lot of content to go TS4. Doubt they will leave unfinished. They will milk dry it till the end. That's why they split contents in packs. Specially now with the great feedback they're receiving with the latest pack after a whole year of new content being criticized. Also they are gonna go slow because they know everything I mentioned above are decisive factors for their clients public. They know the crisis. They're also in crisis for budget development. They know all of it. They're gonna keep coming with TS4 till the economy and market start recovering. They need us to recover their pockets too.
