The game time function is accessible through either directly editing the mc_settings.cfg file located in your MCCC directory, or accessing it on a computer under MCCC. I don't suggest editing the file directly unless you feel comfortable doing so. I usually run my game clock at 50. The default is 25, and seems a bit too fast. I have run it at 100 though. Helps when you want to micro manage things a bit more

UI Cheats Extension mod allows you to edit values like needs, relationships, money, career/life objectives ecc... on the fly, just by dragging or left/right-clicking on the stuff you see on the screen. Lets say its a more instant way to edit the values you have available in front of you, MCC on the other hand goes more in depth
