OK peeps not posted one of these lag updates in a whille so here it is:
Good for both Sims 4 and Sims 3 although Sims 4 seems to benefit the most from this as Sims 3 is all about lag 24/7 you just convince yourself it's working after a while and have a midget ton of patience....
Basically what you will need is a SSD and Windows 10 Lite from Team OS. Windows 10 Lite is a stripped down version of Microjunk's bullshit without all the spyware and bloatware that makes games crawl. Wacks out of there that green deal power saver garbage and makes your system run snappier even on a hulking HDD. I now have boot times of under 10-15 seconds where before it was around a minute....
Starting off with Sims 3 and using a 2g RAM disk for the worldcache & thumbnails since I use a custom world makes it freeze less often, turning off autonomy or set it to low and only use it when you want to liven things up. I use nraas alot here too and change autonomy in the whole world back and forth. You also wanna have two mods (No route fail animation and route fix) which also reduces lag. Skipping pets does nothing just keep it installed and disable ALL wildlife and pets in your world with Register. Also make sure your game is running in Win XP compatability to reduce random crashes. All the rest you should know already, graphics rules config all that can be done here:

Both games load times vary. Sims 3 loads twice as fast on a SSD where Sims 4 loads a blazing 4 times as fast! Where it used to take about 5 minutes in Sims 4 with 10 to 12 gigs of CC now takes 1 minute max, older the save add maybe 30 seconds. I gotta test more to make sure like use my old hospital lot with 20+ sims running around and shit and see if the menu lag comes up. I'll keep you fuckers informed on how it goes!

Another thing that’s super funny about the Brandysims situation is that their content really is hit or miss. Mostly miss. Like genuinely. The amount of times i thought something looked cute in the preview picture, downloaded it, loaded up my game, put it on my sim and it looked crunchy... lmao.
At least someone feels the same as me when it comes their content. I only download their content because some people are nice enough to share it in this thread but most of it has looked awful when attaching it on my sims in CAS. They need to brush it off and try again.
Unrelated: Did the "snow" effect on these forums make anyone else think their monitor was broken?

I had to open up another tab to make sure my monitor wasn't glitching and then came to realization it was just an effect on this website.
My townies are red, can anyone help? I have removed all the new cc I have downloaded prior to this happening.

Did you check "uncompressed Sim Textures" on under graphic settings under game options? The latest WW was making checkered board Sims and that helped. Also, turn off laptop mode as well.
