Do you mean just wicked animations or clothes, hairstyles, sliders and all that shit?
thanks for the reply. i know it wouldnt be exactly my preferences, but that seems like a fair trade when thinking about how many mods there are, how many different places to download them from, and what im guessing would be a great deal of incompatibility. if i started playing earlier on and learned about mods as they where created, it may not be too overwhelming, but jumping into a mod community of 5,000? 10,000? hell seems like it could even be 100,000?? seems way too intimidating.Well I ain't uploading mine anytime soon, it's like 70gb or something LOL. There are some smaller ones if you search online if you really must, though I wouldn't recommend it as there will always be issues with it and it will never be to your liking.
I know you don't want to hear it but it's always best to start fresh, begin with someone's world save file so you have all the worlds and sims built, then start with the most popular mods (Wicked Whims, Basemental Drugs, MCCC etc) then move onto the body mods of your choosing and then clothing, build items etc etc.
i'll check around of some of those smaller compilations you mentioned though.
