The solution to this problem is super simple and has been done in many games with character art on the side 3 times bigger than Luna's. Simply make it transparent only when the character is facing towards the sprite. So if the player wants to look/move towards the sprite they can see through it but if they wanna see it fully, they turn around.Hello! Quick update to talk about something!

If everything goes as planned, starting in September, my IRL will be a lot less busy and I can speed things up regarding game development and communication. I hope you can put up with us for now.
In case we don't make the update today after all, I wanted to make a post anyway so you know we didn't disappear as it's getting close to the 2 week mark.
Both me and the artist are working on the game every day even if we get a bit quiet with the news!!
And as a reminder because I still see people saying stuff like "I'm afraid my sub runs out before the update".
Write down the password to the itch.io page!!
I only change the password some time after an update so that nobody with an expired subscription misses out after they contributed to us.
I will keep bringing this up as long as I see such comments!
Okay, now that's out of the way let's talk about a little problem I have with the game right now.
The image I'm using for this has already been in a preview so this isn't any new spoilers.
The game now has a problem of multiple tails on the screen at many times.
The tails are really big so the images also have to be wider.
At this point, over half the screen is covered.
The toggling opacity feature isn't useful anymore because it would just be permanently on.
So the only solution I can think of right now is to crop out parts of the image, like this.
This is really bad because tail behaviour is a good indicator to measure the excitement of a beastgirl!
But if I have to crop it out like this, I would then put the full image into the gallery.
This might have the annoying side effect of the player going into the gallery just in case they missed something, rather than just to see scenes again.
Another option, if I make the image smaller it would start looking weird.
RPGM games run in a very low resolution to begin with so it's harder to enjoy the images like this:
At this point it becomes hard to spot details so this is not good!
And it looks extra weird when there's a big Luna on screen and then it jumps to something like that.
Overall, cropping and putting the full image into the gallery might be the best solution.
You likely noticed that Pudding's tail in recent artworks has become a fully transparent cloud.
I'd rather have it drawn, cropped out and put into the gallery than made invisible to fit the screen!!
As my artist keeps asking: "And where are the tails supposed to go!?"
If you have any better ideas, please let us know. Tails are important!!!
It was just a lower rez version of the ones posted in the one I sent. Also sorry to everyone for not sending the images I didnt realize they broke lol

I posted the link published by the author, but it had no password and it seemed that it didn't pass the review.
Headpat Games has explicitly requested at least 2+ times in this thread to not leak the update here until some time has passed (two weeks or something?). This is to make it fair to their actual paying subscribers
This is a common practice when game developers are part of their own game's F95 thread (it happens more than you think).

Sir this is a piracy forum.
Indeed it is a Pirate forum which Headpat is apart of which he doesn't mind people putting the posts for the game updates but just asked if people can wait like a couple days so it's kinda fair for the people that pays for his content early. Which tbh I don't mind waiting a couple days for a update to be released
Y'all can say whatever is morally and ethically correct when it comes to software piracy (Which in itself isn't really that ethical to begin with), but if it leaks? It leaks. (It's a piracy forum)
I just find it odd that y'all are fine with downloading and pirating any indie small games that just came out with no qualms whatsoever but this one is apparently a grand exception. Just own up to it man, whatever happens in piracy is just the natural course.

Hey if it leaks it leaks that's how things go but I ain't tripping in waiting a extra week or so for the update cause we finna get it for free regardless. Head pat knows that and has said he doesn't mind but was just hoping that who ever leaks it to give him a bit of time cause in the end he is a small Indie developer and he is depending on subscriptions to continue this job or hobby that he is doing.
