I always wonder a few things:
  1. Do they make all the arts? It seems a lot of work for 1 person and not everyone is a good artist.
  2. I usually never read the story but I like to have choices. How important is the story?
  3. Do you like having a bad ends?
  4. Is repetitive content turn you off from the game? Like waiting something to happen for 2-3-4 ingame days.
  5. Do you like this games where you walk around the town? Sometimes I am rly lost and it consume too much time to find something.
  6. What is your favorite platform for his type of games?
  7. Is hentai art overrated? I usually skip them (all charctesrs looks like 13y old) but they have eally good stories usually.

1. I guess it depends. It does seem that a lot start out as 1-man teams and recruit others based on cashflow. But if you use for instance Honey Select to create your images, it's not that much work.
2. Depends on the player but for me story and especially the choices you make are the most important things. If you want only images, go to any image site. If you want only a good story, go read erotica. If you want some kind of story and visuals, go watch a porn movie. But a game is the only way to combine choice, story and visual. But for me visual comes last.
3. I like choice. For some people a "bad end" can actually be a turn-on.
4. Yes. Unless it's really necessary for game mechanics, but I generally don't like grinding.
5. Depends. I do think that RPG Maker games sometimes feel more like a real game. But these games, I usually play only once rather than to try to explore all options.
6. I don't have a clear favourite.
7. Depends on your taste, but I'd say that the vast majority doesn't have loli content actually.

1. some do most do not...buying assets or art...rendering...honey select...daz3d mostly...which is fine if one hates drawing or wants to avoid the hustle.
2. many state a good story is most important looking at what is offered mostly I doubt that with good reason it's more like kinks above all...art...than maybe story...(personal opinion)
3. depends...if the story is worth it bad ends can work if it's forced only to prolong playtime...certainly a no no.
4. Huge turn off...too many games rely on it which is why I avoid most of them.
5. What most devs do wrong using RPGMaker...keep the damn maps small and simple...create customized content and avoid any kind of grind...walking without end is grind...see point 4.
6. ...
I don't have a clear favourite.
likewise.
7. Not my personal favorite...the sounds as well...going back to point 2...the story might be good but I wont give it a chance avoiding the big eyes and high pitched moans that sound underage mostly...
