VN - Ren'Py - The Synthetic [Ep.6] [Carbon]

I think it's pretty unfair to rate this solely 1-star, as visually it's great and the sex scenes are good, but I can certainly understand the frustration.

Frankly, the story has barely gone anywhere. It's been 2 years, and the dev is TRULY dragging their feet on actually getting anything done. It's so funny to me that the plot involves this hyper-evolving AI that's becoming exponentially intelligent and aware in a matter of days, and yet it feels like most of the dialogue involves the mother and the MC just circling around the exact same topics every single time, and the dev reeeeeally tryna stretch out a "will they/won't they".

Visually though, I love this AVN. Is it hyper-realistic? Nah, but it's realistic in the right ways, and fanciful in the right ways. The proportions are unrealistic but not grotesque; the women are all visually stunning but still show textures on their skin and signs of aging, even if they're aging with the support of some great plastic surgeons. There's nothing wrong with that, it's a visual style, and I find it a bit ridiculous that people have such a problem with it.

A bigger issue though - and one I think is very much contributing to how slow the development is going - is the NTR inclusion. I'm all for choice, I think choice is great, but the obsession with either this dev in particular or his supporters is infuriating. When the story is barely actually HAPPENING, when the content is still already limited with the 2-year existence of this project, there is no reasonable way for there to be a splitting of content. There just isn't. At the beginning the two threads were pretty closesly entwined, but now the plots are really starting to diverge, which means that they'll be spending even more time trying to actually get shit done that evens out both of them. The worst thing about the NTR though is the inclusion of the side stories.

Personally, I think the side stories are pointless. You do this when you have spare time, not when you've barely even done the first act of your story. Right now there's 5 side stories, and 4 of them are NTR. I mean even at this point, I don't believe there should be side stories, but the fact 80% of them are NTR is ridiculous. WORK ON YOUR MAIN STORY!

The Synthetic [Ep. 6]

I liked the creator’s previous game under their old identity more. When I saw this had reached Episode 6, I figured it was time to jump in. To my surprise it is actually pretty bad once you filter out the filler and the parts that drag the whole thing down.

Ariana is the biggest offender. Her entire relationship with the MC feels heavy handed and weird. She treats him like a traumatized kid who survived some horrific crime, not someone about to go to college. She bulldozes him, demands permission for everything, and acts like an overprotective parent from a bad soap opera. It only makes sense if someone is into a niche kink. The scenes with her feel grimey and forced, and the only time she chills is when she is blackout drunk, which makes the whole thing cheaper. Worst of all she mistakes the MC for her college ex, which made me roll my eyes. Honestly, she could be cut from the game and nothing of value would be lost. Keep her as an unpleasant workaholic mom, or shove her plotline into an optional NTR route and call it a day.

On the other hand, I liked Sarah, Ariana’s sister. She feels like the person meant to cover the adult content quota. She is nice, she has her own relationships, and she feels like someone you could build actual chemistry with. My issue is the pacing. I meet her twice and she is already exposing herself and offering to train the MC. That sums up a major problem with this game. It swings between bloated lore dumps about work conspiracies and sudden erotic scenes with no buildup. It feels like a giant production with tiny pieces of substance. Lots of style. Very little weight.

The art also has a very distinct look. Sometimes too distinct. Ariana looks like a sun cooked, plastic surgery addict. A lot of the women share similar blotchy skin, sharp aging features, and oversized proportions. I actually like most of the designs, but they feel repetitive. Sarah, Monica, and Kiara look great, and not as extreme as Ariana.

Now the real issue. This game suffers from the same problem the creator’s old project, Demon Boy, had before it died. The plot bends and breaks under one massive element that outshines everything else.

EVE.

The MC somehow creates a self aware AI. With everything we know culturally about runaway AI, anyone working near that kind of tech would treat it with caution. Instead, the MC unleashes her, shrugs, and says something close to, “Do whatever. Also help me with this small problem. Also try not to commit crimes lol.” Then he wanders off to get footjobs from his aunt and obeys his mom when she calls him for pizza.

This should be the most interesting part of the game. A self aware AI trying to understand the world. A meta presence that seems to know more than she lets on. A slow build toward something deep, unsettling, or emotional. Instead she is pushed aside for pointless drama or scenes that lead nowhere.

There is real potential here. You could scrap Ariana’s plot, keep Sarah for the adult content, and build everything around Eve. Her new body alone could spark a new chapter. The MC goes to college with her. She learns jealousy. She experiments with emotions. She helps him, sabotages him, or teases him into choices that branch the story. With solid writing, this could be the heart of the game.

I only hope it does not turn into a bland government hunt for a missing android. Eve literally steals a body and walks naked into the MC’s house. The setup deserves something better than generic chase scenes.

Right now the game feels bloated and hollow because the wrong pieces get the spotlight. The good stuff is ignored in favor of content that kills the pacing.

Good models, too little content, feels like he is milking his patrons, too much development that for that little, it feels it gonna be abandoned, at least I feel that way, not worth the download, the renders are the best part but the rest is just meh, but whatever.

Totally Disappointed with were the story is headed .It started off nicely just like Demon Boy and just when things started to get interesting ,there came the distractions side stories, unnecessary characters , etc. Its almost certain that this will likely grt abandoned in the near future.

Love the graphics, simple renpy storyline, classic DoD vibe, good animations. Hot milf and its been in development for 2 yrs

Review of [Ep.5 Side Story]

Blowjob, blowjob, and blowjob... I find the game quite annoying and very frustrating. I get the impression that the developer is simply milking the game...

There are some sex scenes, but with secondary characters...
The game is well-made with high-quality renderings, good animations, a good UI, and good sound for the animations, but for so much unnecessary blowjob, it only gets 3 stars in my case.

The computer AI story adds something "interesting" to the game, although I find it boring.

This game stands out thanks to the high quality of its scenes and the appealing design of its female characters. Without a doubt, it's a must-play for 3DCG fans. The presentation is also very well done, and the side stories add meaningful depth to the overall experience

Honestly, I don’t understand what the creator is doing. With such impressive rendering technology and models, they can’t even come up with a simple story—not even borrowing from existing ones. Since November 2023, the content has been utterly lackluster and deeply disappointing.

This project is such a letdown for me because the potential was there from the very beginning as well as my support. This just feels like it's going nowhere and fast. The focus seems to be on everything else other than the story, and because of it, everything not being the renders suffers for it. "My Bimbo Dream" and the "Side stories" seemed to have taken priority over The Synthetic, and it's rather disappointing because the Dev is clearly spreading himself thin.

Because of which, it's been almost 2 years and it still feels like we're at the very beginning of this story. Because of this I'm stuck with god tier like renders and nothing much more. Now, I'll never criticize a Dev for trying to make ends meet, but it's unfortunate how often times it's the project's quality that's a sacrificial lamb, so to speak. And when the Dev does focus on the story, the pacing feels rushed or just plain flat.

Ep.5

The main story has all the pieces to be a great. Shy inexperienced MC who accidentally has created AGI and troubled alcoholic mother who is over caring. And other characters who also have interesting background and personality that can take the MC to... possibilities are endless. AGI has been pretty much side character, but i have hope that it will take this story away from your regular home incest drama -plot.
Biggest problem is that author has been having problems choosing how to use the conversation options. +1 love / +1 lust options were already kind of boring, but then came the "choose lust or love path" option. I fear that it will turn this great promising project to kinetic novel experience.
I don´t understand why so many authors love to lock players in specific route so soon. Forcing specific ending is understandable, but why 5 min after playing you get grayed option of "You´re not on this path".

Writing is really good, as it makes characters unpredictable. Every character has their own positive and negative characteristics. These make all the characters more realistic, but also gives lots of options for the story. Characters can surprise multiple ways and it does not feel unnatural or out of the character.

Visually game does not aim for hyper-realism, but takes good amount of artistic liberty. I personally LOVE this art style. Also if you don´t like somewhat unnatural women with big ass and big tits, this might not be for you. Camera angles, details, realistic soft physics, and so on, all make the reading experience really fun.

This is the third time I have replayed the game since the earliest version. It really did not disappoint me. It is getting better and better. At present, it has been changed to allow you to choose routes and relationship names, which is great.

For friends who like MILF, the appearance here is original and more realistic. The details of the skin wrinkles are refreshing, instead of the same old smooth skin. I like this very much.

Finally, what surprised me the most was that the developer is still a college student and seems to have completed it independently in his spare time. There is nothing to ask for at this point. Can you give more support? I am looking forward to more content! If necessary, subscribing to paid support is not a problem!

Story seems interesting ai mc made helps him improve relationship with his mother.

I see people complain about the split for routes at beginning but I like that I can just choose to not have ntr at beginning and be done with it.

It looked promising but horrible horrible story implementation, as said in the previous review totally separating the story is one of the worst possible ways you can go about this .

There is no player agency to how the story unfolds anymore. This now masquerades as a choice driven vn. If you are on the NTR route you can't seduce her and if you are on the seduce route you can't ntr her.

There are basically 3 choices in the game now rest is just fluff, either you go ntr or seduce route and on the seduce route whether you go loving or rough.
After that you're just along for the ride, which is just plain boring and uninspired.

A much better way is to just make the ntr optional where you just don't get the choices presented if you go for the seduce route.

Although I like(d) the game a lot, I have to give it a bad rating because of the completely stupid decision the dev made to seperate the paths completely. We could have a nice corruption game but instead we're given a kinetic novel, when it comes to the main LI. So so stupid...

The realistic style is not my thing but in the same time those big melons are not realistic.. That's a mix bag for me.

The Ai story is shallow not really interesting and i see where all is going.

Finally i got problems with alcoholic dreams that you don't remember but most incest game are like that. They always break the immersion for something they can't explain in real life. Just because we need this to happen. On this topic the Aunt is the worst.

Then you have routes so deep impact on the story, graphics are really nice even if knees and feets are not my thing but clearly a thing for the dev. Dialogue is okay, story mediocre.

Overall a game for people who like more graphic and situations than story. Good basic game is 4 stars.

Some of the hottest characters on the site and the quality of the renders is also top-notch. Writing is also good and serviceable and the plot is the standard porn plot. Theres an ntr path and a vanilla path. The vanila path seems set up to take the mc from 'zero to hero' and the ntr path is pretty generic but if you dont like ntr you can (as of ep 5) just pick your path at the start.

Can't wait to see where it goes from here!

I love this game. The models are absolutely great, the colors, the texture, everything is perfect. Give it a try. Definitely my favourite so far on the whole site.

I have played at least hundreds of games, and Milf has always been my favorite. The milf here is more realistic in terms of body and skin features, with many wrinkles and lines, which is different from the common smooth skin and cookie-cutter modules. The overall quality and plot development make me excited. I look forward to the update. Thank you again for the careful production of content.
