As the title of my thread implies, I am TheKappaInc, and I offer you my services as a writer, a proofreader and a translator , so, I think it's appropriate for myself to present what I can do— I'll be giving plenty of detail, however, if you aren't really into nor have the time for the long explanation, let me do a quick summary of what I'll be talking about:

So, with everything clear, let's commence with this.

Skills
I’ve done work as a writer, translator, and proofreading for about five to six years of my life. Though, I need to clarify said work was done mostly for friends of mine, TTRPGs I've run over the years, and to be honest, ERPs too.

I speak Spanish as my native language, English is my second one, of which I speak and write all the time with a considerable grasp of it, since I consume a good amount of content in English, and some of my friends only language is English too. Currently trying to get a certificate of my English level.

I can write about 3000~5000 words in one week. But it must be noted, that is heavily dependent on the time at my disposal: In the same way that it is possible for me to get that workload done earlier if the stars align for it, it is equally possible for me to get caught by other responsibilities and not being able to get it done in due time.

I’m someone VERY perfectionist about the quality of the texts/stories I make, which it can be both a good and bad quality to have, as I tend to dissect every detail, character, plot-points and much more, trying to understand both in-story and out-story the why-and-how it’s supposed to function for the idea at hand— Though, I cannot lie, if the story itself doesn’t try at all to take itself seriously, I don’t take it seriously either, I will definitely indulge in cheesy tropes if that’s what you need.

As a Translator and Proofreader, I’m not much different from what I act as Writer, however, I try my darn hardest to give in-detail reasoning of my criticisms — which, for the record, are of constructive nature — of the text I’m reading, as well of why I translate certain words and phrases the way I do.

Preferred Tools​

I use the following tools when working:​

• Google Documents: It’s pretty handy to have a word processor that is constantly saving progress as I write. But besides that small reason— Because believe me, I learned the hard way that I cannot trust Word; I’ve used Google Docs for long enough to learn and polish the way I can use its functions.
• LanguageTool Grammar Checker: Pretty simple, I only use it as a passive safety net to ensure the grammar of my writing; I don’t always find myself in the state to constantly write with the proper grammar and, ashamed to admit, even in spelling at times.

But I must say, I’m not closed to learn other tools if given the proper guidance and, most importantly, respecting the fact that I’m a writer, and the other services I can provide are still based in text.​

Employment Type
I do not work neither Full-Time nor Part-Time, rather, I focus on a Task-focused method of working, or in other words, I work when I get the time to do so as long as I timely finish the work I’ve been given. If the work relationship between you and me allows for it, I can agree to go Part-Time or even Full-time, but it has to be discussed in proper detail.

What I Demand​

• Be clear with your deadlines, give me dates— Specific dates, not vague ideas of when I should be delivering your work. To give an example of what I want: “Please, have this done by the 11th of this month”
• Be communicative, there’s not much what I can do if only given a few words and concepts to work with, I ask this the most, specially if you want something really specific from me
• Be open to criticism, please, even if this is mostly porn, this is still a creative work, so it’s natural to eventually have a back and forth to discuss ideas

What I offer​

• You can ask to check progress done anytime, just let me know in advance if you are going to ask
• Any doubt or problem I find myself in when working, I’ll let you know, giving you details of why and what it is making such problem
• I’ll myself be open to criticism of what I do, how I do it, etc., after all, this is a creative work, it’s bound to happen

Availability
I’ll leave in here my availability for the following types of work, please consider my response time may be varied due to being from the America (The continent), so I must insist, consider that specially if you are from Europe.

Writing Work (Long-Term)​

Currently up to it, however, I may accept only ONE project of this nature.​

Writing Work (Short-Term)​

Make sure to ask if I’m available, but I’m pretty confident I’ll always have some space for some short-term gigs!​

Translation Work​

Since translation can be an extenuating job, I will only accept few works from this. Make sure to ask If I’m still available​

Payments
I only receive payments in PayPal for commodity’ sake, and here are my rates, if you happen to have any question about them, make sure to let me know

Per Word​

0.04USD Per Word + 15USD Upfront Payment* or, if you know how much words you need, half the payment of the total sum upfront, can be negotiated.​

Revenue Share​

I’m fine with any % as long we discuss it, but, be aware I’ll only accept this kind of payment if I really have reason to trust everything in your project.​

Flat Fee**​

Pricing starts at 30USD, up to negotiation.​

*This payment is NOT counted with the word count.
**I will only accept this kind of payment if the situation calls for it, if not, I won’t accept it.

I won’t work with you if you are planning using GenAI, and I have my qualms with some kinks, make sure to let me know which you have planned​
