It used to be moderated and managed by normal people or staff of this site, which meant that if there was a leaked/pirated version it would get posted here and thats how it mainly grew, but now most threads have a 24/7 1984 devs that will nuke any link, on any website thats hosting the pirated/leaked version, ripped art, save files or cheats (cause thats a premium feature)
Like whats the point now of f95 now when its just itch.io 2.0?

If you see those thing happening you should be reporting it.

This site is also a lot more than just a porn games pirate site, it also has videos, comics, assets and a lot of information on games and game creation.

Also to be clear, some mods / cheats / walkthroughs have their own threads and the dev's do NOT have ownership of those threads and there are a few games that have their own off-topic threads where saves and cheats can be shared and again the dev's do NOT have ownership of those threads either.

This site is hardly in danger of becoming itch.io 2.0

this is still a pirate site like it always has been. even if devs own their game thread, they are not allowed to prevent piracy by removing links on their game thread. but they can try to make the file hosts take down the pirated stuff posted here by someone else, but that's something they always could have, so still same as always.

Literal 1984

4. Do not spam content threads asking for a new version to be shared ("+1", "bump" or similar are not accepted)
  • This includes DLCs, missing content, compressed versions, ports (android, mac), etc.
  • Asking once is fine, but avoid spamming or repeating other's requests

Double-plus good, mate! ;)

Seriously though, I came for some fresh popcorn munching and all I got was a stale handful, soggy from OP tears.

The only games that do not get leaked are shitty ones that aren't worth playing anyway like mine, developers that have permission to edit their threads cannot delete comments. They can "try" to mess with the links, but their permission will get revoked forever, so in the rare case that happens, simply report it and the links will be restored.

Devs can only edit their own post, and therefore the thread opening if they own it. But it's against the rules, and more than one dev lost the thread paternity because of that. So, instead of complaining like a cry baby, act and report when it happen, as morphnet said.

Devs do NOT have complete control here. As we discussed in a recent thread, ANY user can leak a patreon version of any game, including the ones where the dev is the OP (like mine. Unfortunately, only 2-3 people play my game  ) and the dev has no saying on this.

Take a look at what exactly ? What are you trying to say ?

That no one leak the full version ? That the devs are complaining ? That no one report the leak for the thread to be updated (because yeah, this too don't happen magically) ? That the games have in fact a slower development process ?
You talk like toddler, expecting that everyone is in your head reading your thoughts.

Looks like your cam is on... You should fix that, loli prefer mysterious guys, it's known.

i don't know about the devs of those games but, as i told you, devs have always been able to try to take down links posted here. just because you've noticed it recently doesn't mean it's something new to this site. this site can't stop people from sending dmca requests to file hosts. all this site can do is enforce the rules of this site and punish devs for breaking them

What exactly are you on about?

You've gone from....

but now most threads have a 24/7 1984 devs
...to there are two you can think of? If you are this prone to exaggeration and playing this fast and loose with information you are going to have a hard time finding someone to take you seriously.

If you think they are nuking links here, use the report function.
If they are nuking links on other sites then I'm not sure why that is anyone at F95's problem and you should report it there.
If links in a discussion are not working, then do what everyone else does and ask the person who posted it to re-up a new link.

That being said...this can't really be much of a problem for you, as you are still moaning here instead of reporting the problem like you are supposed to.

and next time you feel the urges to make a thread like this, just repeat the following to yourself....

I mustn't whine, I mustn't cry, I mustn't create threads where I lie. When I see a problem, I should report it, then the friendly mod team they can sort it!
