They are not, why should anyone be subbed to a dev while he doesnt even know himself what hes going to do with his subs. Thats not how patreon is supposed to work either.
They absolutely are, though. My point isn't that the complaint (that votes carry more weight) isn't justified. It's that saying "it is what it is" to express apathy in the midst of complaining is, in fact, a contradiction. If they were actually apathetic, they wouldn't complain in the first place.

At no point did I say I agreed with what the dev did. Frankly, I think the dev is ridiculous and probably should just give up entirely, as much as I normally hate saying something like that to a developer.

Ironic that you complain that backer votes might have carried more weight but then you bring up whether it's worth paying. I'm not in favor of anything this dev has done so far (i.e., constantly switching what is actually going to be worked on), but your points are at odds with each other.
Well... part of the reason I brought up was because I was considering being a backer before shit to well... shit lol. But yea, I also wouldn't have brought that up if the dev was upfront about backers votes having more weight when he held the poll. As is, the poll just seems like a (failed) excuse to move on to the next game. Dude didn't even give the college game a fair shot before ditching it.

It doesnt have to be apathy, it feels more like just hes surrendering to the devs fickle behavoir and lost any hope to see any project ever finished here. He obviously cared about the game at some point but well there is no game anymore

Kinda? ToB had more votes(53%/47%), but dev said ToT won because more backers voted for it. Questionable since the dev didn't mention backer votes would carry more weight, but it is what is. His choice to make what he wants. Our choice whether to pay or not.
Ummm, yes he did. He explained the voting system very clearly.

You might not agree with his system, but he did say what it was before it started and this note was on the votes page.

I'd consider the whole discussion surrounding polls/votes as arguing semantics considering Tak's inability to commit to a project for more than 3 chapters. His original reasoning for ignoring the popular vote regarding Tides was due to "consulting with numerous other developers, my community and the people I trust" (direct quote from the man himself).

(This next part is just general ranting on my part directed at Tak to an extent)

He's also cycled through his new project, Tides of Becoming, in favor of developing Tides of Treasure prior to updating said community about a change in development. Mind you the original reason for abandoning Tides of Succession was to pursue AVN development full time, and his first project under that direction is already sidelined.

Just as a general warning to everyone, Tak's polls have little bearing on the direction he takes regarding his AVN development career, so take them with a massive grain of salt.

He just shouldnt do these polls and simply do whatever the fuck he wants, but he wants a justification for his decisions from his patreons ... the problem seemed to be that the patreons always voted for the opposite :ROFLMAO:
