Bro why the fuck did they think that BLACKJACK needed to be on unreal engine lmao
I agree, unreal engine seems so unneccesarily bloated for a simple 2d blackjack game. Unity or Godot wouldve made much more sense here in my opinion, but i understand that the dev probably feels more comfortable(or only knows) developing with unreal engine.

My Graphics card is pretty old with 3gb vram and when i bought this game and ran it, it always crashed at the loading screen after a while. I looked at the vram usage while loading and noticed that it literally maxed out my vram instantly (~2GB vram is used by the game) which crashes the game. Ive contacted the dev about this and they told me that its due to the countless high res art assets that get loaded all upon startup. The dev then gave me a build of the game with Streaming enabled which makes it so that the assets get loaded dynamically as needed and not all on startup which fixed my problem of it crashing.
Still im very amazed how a simple 2d blackjack game just straight up maxes out my vram xD

I'm not a fan of card games, and I don't really understand card game mechanics, but maybe with this game things will change...

It's literally 21 from Resident Evil 7 - which means strategies there work for here. (I did see another 21 clone on Roblox as well, actually.)

A few tips:
  • If you go bust, don't give up! Do you have a Return Yours or a High To Low? You could also try using a Low To High, to make them go more bust than you.
  • COUNT THE CARDS. There's only one of each card in the deck. If your opponent used Hot Wax, then you know they either have 20 or 21 - throw a wrench in their plans with Return Theirs or Low To High!
  • If you know you've won, use Egg Vibrator. If they put an egg vibrator on you, use Turnabout to put it on them.
  • At the later stages, the "Hit Me" Sign becomes very powerful, since you can use it to drain their EP and paralyze them.
  • If they're out of EP, mess with their hand using Return Theirs or Low To High - they can't do anything about it.
  • Low To High replaces your rival's card in the same position - if it's at the bottom of their hand, it's much harder to remove it. You could let them draw one more card to reinforce it.

Would you be able to post it here? I also have the same problem.

I think unlocking more Kink cards as you progress the campaign is a double edged sword.
It helps keep initial game complexity low, making it easy for new players to understand, but game gets boring and repetitive really fast and unlocking a new kink every two wins is very tedious and uninteresting.

I even went ahead and completed first round on all characters just to unlock more kinks and still, by the time you have it all you're too bored with the game.

Dev is so good at optimizing game that it can crash my pc that used to run cyberpunk:coffee:. Took me 20 minutes to restart it. Never again

Lame. Wanted to give it a try, but it STILL manages to run out of VRAM even with the stream version Henry1887 graciously provided, because the devs decided a simple 2d blackjack game needed to be poorly optimized and made in unreal engine, for some reason...

It's great to see a game with original and seemingly non-ai art, that's a huge plus.

As others have said, you *need* to count cards to win, which is a little annoying tbh.
Maybe roguelikes are overdone, but I think this game would be much better as a roguelike where you build your deck as you go. Having 0 control over your deck makes this feel less like a game and more like a gallery unlocker.

If it takes you 20 minutes to restart your computer, the problem is NOT a random porn game, however poorly optimized it might be.
