VN - Ren'Py - Time Implosion [v0.17] [Wizard's Kiss]

I'm really excited to see where this game goes. The time loop concept is an interesting one, and I feel like Time Implosion (honestly the title doesn't do this VN justice) does it better than any other VN I've come across thus far. The themes are dark and gothic, the renders are unique and gorgeous and the characters designs, (aside from the MC, imo) are all super cool looking.

If you want something dark and different, this one is for you. I personally can't wait for more content. But use a walkthrough because the content can get redundant, because, duh, time loops.

This game is the best time-loop game I've played. The models are nicely different than the cookie-cutter people you run across in many VNs, and the characters are well-developed and largely convincing. Perhaps the most impressive aspect of this game is the structure and flow of the storytelling, departing from the repetitiveness and grind of most time-loop stories. In most passages through the time-loop there are new choices and alternatives to consider. I mustn't forget to mention how cute and pretty the models are, and the interesting take on contact between the human world and the occult.

Very good game with a very good story. Loop games might scare away some people but if nothing else the story makes it well worth it. Overall the characters are very well thought out and unique. The graphics and animation might not be on par with some of the best out there but they are definitely good. The story is well thought out and makes each subsequent "loop" meaningful, making you very much very looking forward to the resets in order to slowly peel back the mystery and to evolve characters and the story that much further. Adding this game instantly to one of my top favorites and eagerly looking forward to more content!!

I hope this game will continue to be worked on and not be abandoned. I'm loving the story and concept so far. Reminds me of that loop movie with Tom Cruise in it. The plot can get confusing and mind boggling at first, but the more you travel through the loop, the more you uncover and understand the story, or discover hidden plots. The sanity concept is also pretty good, enabling you to act out certain choices as you progress instead of just the usual "choose which one of the two" from then and there.

This game has a bright future and so far good plot or story writing. Need some improvements here and there, but we'll see how it goes. Looking forward to a bright future for this game.

This game is really good in my opinion, it has a really good story and many paths that you can take and the music is a nice addition.

I like the protagonists, he is a loner and someone without many friends, I relate a little bit with him.

That is a wonderful game, only thing I missed was a gallery.
Animations are good but could be a bit better, I'm not going to give it 4 star for that though, wished we had an 4.5 star option.

this game definitely surprised me in a positive way, unique looking girls with nice character development, nicely written, pretty good animations and an awesome story. can't wait for more content, hope we have still a long way to go

edit* the developer decided to do 2 projects at the same time and since then this game, even though it was his first and more promising than the other one, looks pretty abandoned. between version 0.13 and 0.14 (released early december on patreon) there were 8 months and all we got are around 170 renders! sry, but it looks like it proves once again that you should finish one game first before even thinking about developing a second one.
bc of the slow development speed and the fact that it is quite possible that this game never gets finished, i remove 2 stars. patreons that supported him for this game are now kinda screwed over!

Usually, the lack of sexual content for a game that already has so much story tends to disappoint me. Usually. Damn the story's good!

On a more serious note, I found the changes across the time loops appropriate; subtle, so that you don't get lost, yet significant, so that you don't lose interest. The game also has quite a number of female characters introduced but like I mentioned, there really hasn't been a lot of sex. I would like to see more, but I am confliced on the 'how'. Conflicted between: A, an eloquent story that naturally leads the MC to the heart of the mystery, and B, a provacative story in which the MC does "whatever it takes to keep your mind focused and your passion stated." I have fingers crossed that the developer will do C: BOTH!

What I liked:
- Attractive female models.
- Engaging story.
- Believable dialog.

What I didn't like:
- Rather feminine model of the main character (and his friend).
- The ease with which you can miss half of the content - I skipped the known route expecting the freedom to try it as long as I can to discover all story variations - wrong, after the second skip the game said "That's it for the current version" and stopped.
- The save/load menu use is unnecessarily overcomplicated. Just make it a regular right-click menu, nobody cares about fancy buttons that basically do what normal menu buttons do.

Overall I like the game, hope it will not be abandoned and the dev continues it (and sees enough reasons to improve it).

One of the games visually distinct enough that I can pick it out from a lineup (mostly due to the more angular looking faces / baby faces of the character models like the MC). Plot puts in magic and fantastical creatures, and supernatural powers (shape shifting and lie detecting) such as imps, succubi and mages into MC's otherwise normal life before dying from being caught up in some unknown conflict surrounding the death of the school diva/idol/popular pretty girl before finding out he is stuck in a time loop plot. What I mean by this is dont expect to be able to see fantastical settings and worlds or getting op wizard powers or at least not yet. On paper it seemed pretty standard and a concept done to death but for some reason I liked it enough to want to see what happens next and never felt tired of it. some facts: you cant make the mc choose who to be with due to it being a story driven game. There isnt a lotta banter due to the nature of the plot and the genre of the game as the mc is more focussed on solving the mystery or dealing with his own stuff than making friends. sex scenes are animated with slow fast and next scene buttons. There is a button while going through dialogue to skip previously seen events so you dont need to keep holding control or skipping text as this is a time loop game so dialogue will be reused. Personally I cant really think of anything bad to say about it or something that was such a big issue that stops me from wanting to play it which I find rare. So 5 stars.

So far the story is nice and the situations are close to reality which is tricky in a fantasy setting but makes it mare immersive.
The time travel part is always difficult to make work. So far so good

This game is great. Superb writing and a fantastic atmosphere. The characters all feel real and interesting, and they really feel like people being caught up in an occult mystery. Can't wait for more.

I really enjoyed this game and waiting for new version, this game has great characters and for incest it have mom,step mom,sister also nun and waiting for more sexy characters, thanks for this game.

I like this. The character interactions are believable and do not break immersion. I especially like the utilization of a loop in a visual novel. It organically does what all of us do in visual novels, saving and loading to get the optimal result. Art is a bit iffy in that in certain renders, the characters look odd and the positioning of eyebrows on some characters when smiling is weird.
I look forward to further updates.

Great renders and a very interesting story... The characters look very good... A little bummed about there not being many ero scenes but the interesting story easily makes up for that and keeps you engaged...

• despite using a time trope a lot of us have experienced in novels etc , it's utilised naturally into the story and also looks like fun once the game gets more content
• good mystery story but the eroticism was slightly lacking

• renders are good enough - nothing to complain about other than maybe one shot in the classroom where the lighting and texture on Ollie wasn't naturalised
• character designs are mixed between realistic faces like Chris and the detective and cartoonish ones like MC and Karina - however it doesn't hinder the experience
• the MC has a unique face

• what exist is hot but too short and laggy (Celeste riding close-up)
• nude rendering is well done (at least on Celester, her tits were natural looking)

UI

• mouse shortcuts are disabled but it wasn't a problem since all the buttons i need are available on screen
• a gallery of H-scenes will be appreciated
  • as well as an ending tracker so you know that you have expended a certain path
• thickness rating is amusing in character info page - each time a new character was met I had to see what the thick rating was

There's not much to say other than good interesting mystery story that isn't overdone in tropes and a lot of attractive models with personality. MC is written well too for the most part.

Visually this game may not be most peoples thing but the plot is certainly interesting and a very strong selling point. It intrigued me almost instantly. If the dev keeps up the writing then hes going to have one heck of a fun game. Not everything needs to be all about how flashy the eye candy is, some ties its good to have a bit of substance. While it seems like I am bashing the graphics im really not, its fine, and probably intentional as an art direction choice combined with devs limited equipment. The sounds are nice, there is animated scenes, all the staples are there but with a very strong plot. Something most games lack.

Looking forward to more.

The game barely has sex scenes right now but the story is engaging and actually hooked me. The only gripe I have with the game is that it's difficult to know when the main character is thinking or speaking, maybe a color change to text would help with that. Otherwise, the game is really good and shows a lot of promise.

GOOD:
Repeating timeline with more choices as a story method.
BAD:
Why add more work & clicking because default Renpy shortcuts for save, load, etc. have been disabled & replaced by a menu adding additional clicks & navigation.
Lots of rambling useless conversation/text, made worse by the repeating timeline.
Many of the noses are so upturned that they remind me of pig snouts.
