I decided to try the DLC demo out and it seems the Diary and Memo screens have been patched and is now working on steamdeck. Hopefully it gets carried on for the full release.

(Btw I just transferred my main game save to the demo to access some of the features).

That doesn't seem to work. Entering the alleyway at the 5:00 to 5:30 window will, at least in my case always give the encounter with the cat girl masseuse and only that encounter. The time I interact with the polar bear prior to that or how I choose to interact with her doesn't seem to change anything. Perhaps there's another step that needs to be done somewhere?
If you're still having trouble, I managed to get Midori by not buying flowers prior, missing out on lunch, and visiting her flower shop at exactly 2:00, I managed to get the the option to choose to progress her route there, and then I was able to get the choice to get her scene by visiting the back alley at exactly 5:00. The in game fortune tip for Midori also mentions if you want to buy flower, don't eat, so missing lunch when you buy flowers from her is most likely the key. If your first scene is her looking depressed while she's looking at her phone, you did it correctly.

No luck with this unfortunately, while I am able to get the phone variant of the initial scene, I'm always forced to eat the instant I step into the overworld if it is 1:30 or later in the day. I was able to get into a situation where I was in the shopping mall at 2 without eating by going in and out of the mall before the lunch scene could load, but even that attempt ended up walled by the cat. Honestly, I'm completely stumped.

Then I would say around 4:00 after doing the previous stuff, go to the back alley and then decline Chako (the cat) so that way she doesn't pop again around 5:00-5:30. Since her being active from 4:00-6:30 probably supersedes Midori's 5:00-5:30 placement until Chako's been turned down.

After several hours of attempts. (I wish I was joking) I got it to trigger, by compete accident at that, getting the phone scene is definitely a key step, but turning down Chako or even going to the alley way might not be necessary, but I'm not sure. Either way I went there at 5, got Chako walled as per usual, and after turning her down I immediately went home. Then and only then did I get interrupted by Midori's scene triggering. Even tried it again to make sure it wasn't a fluke. so the process seems to be [Flower shop 1:30 ~ 2:00 > Alley 5:00, Turn down Chako (Not sure if this step is necessary) > Go back home on the train 5:00~5:30] You should then get the scene from the picture in this post. Though to be honest, I'm still somewhat skeptical of the process, so if anybody is willing to verify, please do. Screenshot 2024-12-08 043347.png

Well if you're still on 2.01, you could try testing it again on a separate save slot, otherwise you could try testing it on 3.0 (needed now for the dlc to work) to see if it's still weird for you. Because I didn't have to do the train when I got it to work prior, her route proceeded once I got to the alley at 5:00 (Chako was already turned down)

Unless they were given access to the unreleased DLC content to translate, looks like it might take longer for them to complete, if they'll even complete the DLC at this point in time.

Update: I decided to delete the dlc files in the game’s 3.0 update and that’s what causes it to finally run. Could be you need something to get the game actually running with the dlc.

Strangely the download has the dlc files already in the game, currently extracting some of them with the .wolf extraction. I did get the new opening to run, but want to keep it a surprise for people here.

I’ll probably wait for the dlc to drop to fully test the possible glitches and bugs, but here’s what I can say about Two Beasts and Not To Beast status on SteamDeck (running on Proton 9.0-3 with DirectX 11 and 3D Mode)

Fixes:
No random freezing occurring on occasions.
Memo and Diary menu is fixed in 3.0 (I just found out it was actually working in the alpha and beta builds pre-1.0 but weirdly got bugged later on).
Choices screen (during cutscenes and areas) have been aligned properly.

Note: if you load up an old save with the old graphical glitches they’ll be intact, but starting a new save won’t have those glitches.

Major Bug: Mei Chan’s interaction in the main game is buggy, as the moment you click to start her route the game freezes once the train sound effect plays. The closest you can get is by running the game on DirectX 9 and Software Mode together, where you’ll reach where I have during the video, but the game will fail to recognize the H-Scenes assets. Weirdly the game will unlock her H-Scene in the gallery which runs normally, but you won’t be able to unlock her Diary entry because you’ll be unable to view her H-Scene normally in the game.

Later I’ll have to recheck Kasumi’s ending in the game as before it was somewhat buggy to the point I had to do some tinkering with the game’s files to get it to work. There’s also a minor oddity where during the opening scene after the Anne bed scene after checking the phone the phone wallpaper will stay on the player’s map but can be easily fixed by just bringing the phone back up and exiting out the game.

Momo the cute baker bunny! Haruki and her have known each other their whole lives, and by the time of her date, they have been going out together for a while. Really cute interactions between the two.
