Recently I started to create and update social media profiles to promote my project.
I have to admit that having a SubscribeStar page before releasing a game seems kinda shady but I could go on explaining why I decided to set it up, from motivational reasons to more mundane everyday expenses related reasons, so I was thinking about making an alpha build. Maybe a demo version or technical demo, you know, to offer something before the release date.
Also I was looking at some profiles in Patreon, their games are well-known to include incest but their profiles are still up and getting subscribers atm.
I remember I read about the moderators going through every game on a case by case basis and I was wondering if maybe the story can make a difference; like leaving all kind of not consensual content out, also maybe making a "Patreon version" without the problematic content can work.
So it comes down to:
1- Should I offer a demo version?
2- My game contains incest, should I try my luck in Patreon?
