why are most games so logorroic ?
rivers of words, does anyone care?
how many read everything?
sooo boring, it would be much better to use few words and leave more room for imagination and fantasy
I remember Scott Adams Adventureland, only text:

Forest
You're in a forest.

Obvious exits: North, South, East, West, Up.

You can also see: trees
What shall I do now?
>

that's it, the rest to our imagination, and it was so addicting... wonderful
please developers, use few words, leave something to our ability to imagine!

Fudged it again.

Most games are visual novels. In order to tell the player what's going on requires them to write out hundreds to thousands of words every update (depending on how big the update is). And honestly, most games where you're walking in the forest doesn't really go into much detail unless something important is in that area.

Animating scenes can help cut down on the need to read out actions, but most devs don't have the time to animate everything (if they can), and thus they only animate certain scenes, mainly the sex scenes.
