Midlife Crisis by Nefastus Games
This one has two major issues, and two slightly lesser issues, but yet still manages to come out as an overall positive. First of the major issues is that it’s abandoned, so we’re not going to get an end to the story. Second is that some of the renders are so bad it’s comical, with lighting issues even being mentioned in dialogue in the game. There’s one character in particular who literally looks like a goblin in some renders because of the way she is posed, and a number of the early renders are noticeably lower quality, with noise and clipping issues, although this does improve as the game progresses. One particularly bad scene had MC walk into a café looking like he was wearing assless chaps and a cut-away t-shirt, due to the ridiculous level of clipping, and the dev was either not good enough or not bothered enough to notice and fix it.
Of the slightly lesser issues, the writing is not great, with a bunch of noticeable typos and several instances of poor sentence construction. There are also a couple of LIs and potential LIs who are just too small to be believably over eighteen. You can choose the name of pretty much every character in the game when you first meet them, but being able to choose the ages of some of the younger characters as well is a clear sign here (other younger characters have their ages dictated by those you change, so friends are the same age, etc.).
Outside of that though, the positives are in the scenes and situations we find ourselves in. I like to find a good cuckquean character and there are a couple who might qualify here – one is more a voyeur, but she is a potential LI who enjoys watching MC with other women on a few occasions, the other, clear example, is MC’s wife. She (Sandra) is gradually seduced into the idea of letting MC have sex with other women, and is made to explore her newfound lust for the younger LIs and MC’s sister, to the point of engaging in threesomes and actively encouraging MC to have sex with the girls so she can taste them on him afterwards. It leads to some very hot scenes and lines of dialogue and, accompanied by the family dynamic of the game, makes this one a “family harem done right” in my opinion.
As with the graphics in general, the LIs improve as the game progresses, and a couple of them are really nice. The personalities and some of the individual storylines are pretty good too. With the exception of the wife, I think all LIs are avoidable (I didn’t exactly test this!) and there are various sex-related choices to make in each scene as well. In terms of other avoidable content, there is a trans character (with a clear notification in the choice menu) and there’s a gay rape scene not involving MC (also clearly noted in the choice menu) where a man is assaulted as payback for attempting to sell his daughter to clear his debts.
So this is a bit of an unusual game for me to play, being abandoned and not looking entirely appealing on the surface (the game thread’s banner image is not the best advertisement for the game), but it turned out to be a good experience. I really liked the taboo aspects and would love to see more of that in some other games that have similar dynamics but lack the overall naughtiness seen here.

I think there is a prequel about one of the daughter.I didn’t play it as I doubt is good.

I actually did try that one previously and wasn't impressed. I would have to double check, but I think it was only a small game anyway, maybe just a few scenes and so not really any content (either that or I dropped it very early, so only saw a few scenes!). I seem to remember Christine and Sarah teasing MC while sunbathing and it was supposed to be showing how Christine started to develop feelings for MC, I think.

Yes, it's fan made. It's a reimagining, so does not share continuity with the original game. I cannot comment on its quality, as it was a fair while ago that I tried it and I might not have given it a proper go, so if you're interested, I'd say to check it out. I just checked the thread and it is a continuing game, so I may have been mistaken about the amount of content/scenes included.

There was a game by a different dev called Early-Life Crisis. The dev used Nef's renders and just created his own story from Christine's POV

Thank it is what we talking about it,Tony didn’t like and personally I m not seduced by the game lol I didn’t try it,I know it is rare that a fan game is good as the original game.

Broken Promises by Light Cavalry
This is a game that my recent playing history might suggest I wouldn’t like – it’s got a college setting and a crime syndicate – but it’s one that worked out okay for me. First of all, the crime element is a legit part of the story, rather than being shoehorned in. If you’re going to include it, this is how it has to be done, in most circumstances. We have a young detective who ends up going undercover in a university and the story kind of splits there with the police investigation on one hand, but college life and the people he interacts with on the other hand (and taking up the bigger portion of time, IMO, once the split occurs).
The renders look really nice, for the most part, with just the usual issue of clothing not sitting right (generally focused, like me, around the boobs) to complain about. The LIs are mostly great, and I like that, as we get to spend time with them, we do start to get some actual character showing through. There’s a good variety of age and body type (to a point) as well, and I particularly like how one of the romanceable options is a single mom with realistic single-mom curves (even if she is boobier than I normally go for). There’s also a pair of twins, although you might not realise it if it wasn’t pointed out in dialogue a couple of times.
The story is interesting and well-enough put together, which is particularly important here as it’s quite a slow burn – and not just in terms of progression with the ladies. There are various flashbacks and little snippets of information drip fed so you can piece things together as you go and start to make educated guesses rather than just having everything handed to you. Some of it does seem a little much though, for instance as you go undercover, you meet various people from your past and it seems impossible that you would be able to maintain cover with them around. I feel that it’s too much that some of the LIs would fail to recognise or remember you, even if not immediately, and that did spoil the story for me just a tiny bit.
There aren’t a vast number of choices to make, but at least that makes it relatively straightforward to play. It’s mostly a case of obvious choices to say yes or no in respect of a particular LI, although there are a couple of occasions where you are presented options for two or three girls and no clear choice if you happen to be on the path of a different LI. I did also notice some issues with the coding, where you’d get a line or two of dialogue relating to a choice and then immediately after that, you’d get the line or two of dialogue from the other choice as well, as if you’d somehow picked both. This didn’t cause an issue other than a moment’s confusion, and I don’t think it ever came up on an important choice, so it just felt like someone was saying something, then saying it again in a slightly different way.
Overall, there’s enough here for me to add this to my watchlist, and I’ll play on for a couple of updates at least to see how it goes.

This is definitely a game for guys into blondes or redheads, with brunettes at a disadvantage for a change.
Also, comparing this to fellow undercover games: where Criminal Attraction's got my favourite MC and story and Taboo University has the best writing, Broken Promises comes out on top LI-wise pretty handily. I really like Alice, Kylie, and Tianna, and they are all pretty high on my inter-AVN girl rating, even if not quite making the Top-10.

I still wish Tianna never aged up and the young version of her was a different character cause she looked so good in the intro before the time jump reminds me of Bella from SG look wise. But Grace is my favorite undecided on the rest what order I like them in.This is definitely a game for guys into blondes or redheads, with brunettes at a disadvantage for a change.

At first glance it may seem a trashy game about some Mary Sues, but it actually has a good story and a curious moral dilemma. The translation from its original Italian is rather rough however, and may prove a challenge for native English speakers.

Yeah, Tianna was a bit difficult to get a view on as she changed a bit. Not as much as Alice did, but at least that was just explainable as "hairstyle" a couple of times...
I try to remember who is who.Alice tiana daughter? vanessa child hood friend who work for crimmal.Trish and her sister daughter of the couple who consider him like a son.
I stopped when vanessa saw mc at the old factory.

Trouble at Home by CoolKittyRhymes
This turned out to be quite a nice game, and not really what I was expecting at all. It’s a college game but it’s not really a fuckfest, and it’s got the sort of drama that I’d associate with regular college life, rather than with a HBO college show. I like a lot of the individual elements here, and I think they mostly come together quite well, with just a few transitions here and there from one evening to the next morning that could maybe be neatened up a bit. Since they are often associated with college games, I’ll also note that there are no free roam or other sandbox elements.
The story is pretty simple – MC (sort of) gets dumped after (sort of) standing up his girlfriend, then he tries to piece his love life back together while also navigating a home life with parents who are away and a twin sister with whom he shares a verbally aggressive hatred. He has a best friend who thinks he’s smart but is obliviously dumb at times and I like the humour around this, I think it’s clear enough without being too much. I like the antics MC and his friends get up to in trying to steer clear from (or give payback to) a couple of bullies, who just happen to be his baseball team mates, and I also like the fun he gets up to trying to negotiate various LIs while having little experience outside of his previous two-year relationship.
I’d say it’s a bit of a slow burn, although there are still a decent number of lewd scenes. It really feels like the story is what’s important and the lewds are there when called for, rather than being added to fill a quota. It also means that this isn’t a game where every girl is just dropping her knickers at the first opportunity (although there are a couple of potential one-night stands), and I think the pacing so far has been quite well managed.
The graphics are pretty good, with no real issues spotted. I like how the girls look, although a couple look a tad young and a couple have too many tattoos for my tastes (and as is almost always the case, those with tattoos could do quite well for me otherwise). The sex scenes are pretty decent, and I think the animations in them work well.
There are a few story elements that I’m looking forward to exploring more, and a few relationships I’m looking forward to building. Overall, I’ve enjoyed what I’ve seen so far and (obviously) hope that continues.
