Taking control of a petite female adventurer scavenging the ruins of an ancient civilization, players control her through a number of minigames that really push RPGMaker to its limits as she attempts to free herself after becoming trapped in the depths of the high-tech catacomb. Literally manipulating its sole inhabitant, an immortal elf technologically petrified and forced to serve as its controller and guardian, to engineer her escape, the beautiful statue is made flesh through her probing and caressing.
The game has a novel premise built around a fetish I have limited experience with, but I enjoyed the premise. The characters look good; while the statuesque elf is a pretty well-tread design, the adventurer is a memorable and cute character. The story is short and to the point, but is compelling enough for a game of this length.
The gameplay, as mentioned, is impressive for its novel use of RPGM mechanics. That said, it isn't particularly compelling at any point; you have some brief segments of dodging baddies and avoiding the walls of a maze, another maze, and a "avoid falling rocks" party game. None of them are particularly fun, but they aren't exactly boring either. The main game, where you touch the elf to animate her, was a really simple balancing puzzle. The gameplay, though innovative, always seems more like a hassle to unlock the actions you want to see, which says something for the quality of the narrative experience being compelling, but detracts from the game being a good game.
All in all, I'd put my stamp of approval on this despite the tedium of its mechanics. It's fun dipping into a new fetish from time to time, and I appreciated that it took it in a rather cute and mutually enjoyable direction rather than degradation or corruption, which has mostly been where I've seen it before. The idea of someone experiencing ecstatic pleasure without expression is a pretty fun and kinky one. The adventurer was the highlight for me; very cute variation of the type. If a sequel were to come out, I'd happily give it a shot.
