If you want change, unsub and in the box politely explain why, since those reasons are emailed to bo wei. The only thing that changes situations like this is a dip in money. No other project of this size is managed like this. It's genuinely shameful that these guys get so much money when content creators who work so, so much harder are scraping by on nothing. Any other creator will appreciate your donation more, and won't make snide comments at you for being irritated.
I'd also like to stress that, as someone who has worked in games both on professional projects at major game studios, and on passion projects; including ones using RPGVXACE, this isn't normal. What koda is doing does not take this long if you aren't either really bad at using the tools (rpg maker is designed to be as user friendly as possible, that's why creators use it; it's simple, cheap, and heavily customizable) or they're working far less than they're telling the public. This isn't a technical hurdle, it's user error. The bulk of what koda does is rewrite scenes around existing art assets because bo is either unwilling or incapable of handling the writing. This includes jumbling around assets, but probably very little tech work, especially on a project this vested.
He's important and the game couldn't happen at all without him, but he's absolutely a liar when it comes to the nature of the work. If I handed this project to another of the major rpgvx creators tomorrow they'd have stuff of similar quality in much less time.
I'd be fine with it if it was clear koda was just an idiot, but he's not. He's capable of delivering things on time, or setting reasonable release Windows. Why? Because hundreds of other writers and developers do it, in this very website. He's a liar who drags his feet to get more of the likely split share of patreon money. It's no different from a major developer promising things they can't or won't deliver. It's the new age snake oil salesmen.
Stop buying into it. Go fund the people behind Quest Failed, or Majalis, or Deathblight or fucking anyone who makes a product you like that is capable of releasing on time. These are porn games, the stakes have never been lower, but your money is still your money
