So I've finally finished the Khulan update, and I honestly like it quite a bit. Now, I know one of the biggest turn-offs of this update was the "Trophy Ending", but I thought it was a great addition.
That's not to say I enjoyed seeing Ethan completely limbless and strapped to Khulan, I honestly disliked it quite a bit. But that's why I like the update. I'm sure we all thought that Khulan would never actually cut off Ethan's limbs, and it was just Bo Wei creating a strong character. So when I was eventually given the choice to submit to Khulan or fight back, I had a feeling her rage would increase if I fought back, and I wanted to see what angry Khulan would do. So I kept pushing her until I couldn't do anything, and her rage maxed out, then kept going. It created a sense of dread as I saw her rage go past the limits. Then it stopped, and she seemed like she was ok. Seeing as Khulan has done that before (be angry with Ethan, then have that rage quelled and go into taming him), I thought all was well and she'd just do something similar to the Natural Selection scene. So when she knocked Ethan out, I was just as surprised as I imagine Ethan would be. And when he woke up and couldn't move his arms or legs, I knew he was Khulan's trophy, but I thought she had just tied his arms and legs up tight enough so that he couldn't feel them. I was mortified, and slightly disturbed, when Ethan's fate was completely revealed. It scared me a little bit,but I think that's a good thing. I felt bad for Ethan.
When you submit to Khulan, she makes you beg her to be her pet, I quite liked that, since it seems like it matches her character, and it's what a domme should do, it really felt like she had made Ethan her pet.
I think it was bold of Bo Wei & Koda to actually make the trophy ending, but imo it worked out, since it made me feel what Ethan must have been feeling, to some extent. So good job on Khulan.
