So, apropos of nothing, who remembers the diabolical developer/fan relationship of Corruption of Champions? You had these babbling passive-aggressive developers who, after raising a shitload of crowdfunded cash for their text-only flash game, openly refused to write new content because the game had become a coding nightmare. If anyone objected, they were branded "too stupid to understand how hard coding is". And so the paltry, infrequent, unprofessional updates were almost always just bug fixes, like it or leave it.
Not trying to make excuses or false equivalences here, because believe me, I'm disappointed by all the ToT delays too. Sounds like there's some serious scope creep going on, and I'd love to see my favorite porn game get focused. But man, if I was an alien reading this thread, I'd conclude Koda was the only developer in the history of eroge to ever blue-ball his audience.
Also, thought I should quickly elaborate on why I think Karen's quality is so discrepant to the quality of everyone else. One of my favorite parts about the whole game is the believability of Ethan, and the gradual deterioration of his confidence. Karen is literally the only character that doesn't implement that. After the very first failed gold wager, she offers to give you half your money back if you clean her boots. Keep in mind, even after tons of indoctrination and humiliation from other jailkeepers, you're still given "resist or submit" prompts, yet after the very first loss to Karen, you're basically strongarmed into submitting. Very not cool. I think she's the only jailkeeper I haven't exhausted all of the dialogue and branching paths of, which is a shame, since that was her main draw.
