Developer here. The game version is 0.0.0.0 due to this being a demo version only which will not get any updates unless entirely needed. To get more frequent updates, buy the full game.

Then you wouldn't end up versioning it that way. I mean its your software, do it however. But in the real world, this is not standard. You'd just give a demo version the versioning, "Demo." Since a Demo is a preview of the finished or coming work. Think of it as a POC (Proof of Concept).
