Mod Ren'Py Town of Magic: More Celica, Less Grinding Mod [0.74.005c][Deimus]

Hi, after a bit of elbow grease I think I managed to make a mobile port of this mod.. I dunno python or anything, i just decompiled the apk with apktotal, then just replaced all the stuff with your mod then just compiled it back, aligned + signed the apk. I'd like to share it :

It should Just Work. Are you sure you're:
- Using v0.73.008 of the game?
- Using the most up-to-date version of UnRen-forall (as linked in the "Installation" section of the OP)?
- Only extracting the RPA files?

I know this is Level 1 Troubleshooting, but I downloaded the newest version of UnRen-forall (UnRen-forall-la_0.28-le_9.6.47-cu_9.6.57; I had originally used UnRen-forall-9.6.57 to make the most recent version of the mod) and everything Just Works. My only other idea is that it's an OS related issue, but all I have is Win10 so I can't really test that.

Kinda same here.
Played from the start on a new save with mod installed until I turned off the PC and now the save will not work properly. When ever a conversation between characters end and a selection screen shows up I get this error.



Text box also is in a wonky position.

I'll do a bit more testing on the next version of the mod to check things out, but I don't plan on doing anything with the current mod since it's for an outdated version of the game (the game is on v0.73.502, though it hasn't leaked to the main thread yet) and v0.74.x will probably be released this month.

since this mod has items with allure stats and such, allowing to potentially bypass the cap of 100
is it possible to increase stat limits(maybe also level limit if it exists)?
also it feels that monsters start to give drastically less xp and sp after some level, would it be possible to make the mod ignore that(at least for the sp gains)

Thanks for the heads-up. It'll be a few days until I can update the mod since I just did a full platform upgrade, so now I gotta finish getting my pc set up the way I like it in between having only a single day off for the rest of the month

Since Deimus often increases the level cap and I don't image he uses hand-crafted stat growths, you probably wouldn't need any arcane knowledge to modify the files and uncap the level limit. That goes beyond the current scope of the mod though, since I don't want to mess around too much until/unless the game gets finished. The same goes for removing the soft level-cap for areas, though with this mod I've found the grind to be much more manageable.

Could you make a tutorial or something like that to show what exactly you did? I used to do some mods for my experience in the game, like the celestian form can be used all the time, but I never figured it out how to modify the code to be able to remove clothes. I tried and saw line by line of all files, but failed.

Also, I saw the files you modified for version 0.73.008 and I'm studying it to modify them myself in the new version. Somehow I found it for free and tested it, so I'll enjoy the opportunity, and since this version was released recently, we may have to wait some months for the next.

Anyways, hope you answer me so then I can do it myself too. Who knows if I could help you figure something out for the next mods. Good job and good night.

outknown I'm not really in a position to write a tutorial since I'm a terrible programmer (1 semester of Arduino programming in university!) who mainly makes mods by guessing how the code controlling a thing would look, finding it, guessing how to modify it to do what I want, then testing via trial-and-error until it actually does what I want. The nude variation is just a function of how the system in this game works: if you make an outfit but don't add any pictures for it, Celica is just nude (most games would throw an error in this situation).

The next version for this game has already been released (version 0.74.__), but I like to wait for at least the first few rounds of fixes (there are always fixes), then I have to wait a bit more for it to be leaked in the game's main thread.

0.74.005 just got released in the main thread, and has critical bug fixes for the 0.74 branch.

I didn't realize how much I truly relied on this mod until starting a new run for 0.74. Not having it has been rather painful. Although not for the reasons you might think. I miss my cooldown bonuses!
