Mimics also use a new monster AI "revenger", not 100% sure how it works but probs has smth to do with how fast it can attack (maybe it gets a free attack whenever it's hit?)
I think you're right. I only did a few battles against the mimic, but it seemed to take a turn after every turn my characters took. It's quite noticable when you use a full party, though I guess it would be easy to overlook if you're only using Celica since other monsters also get to attack twice per round.
Violet "learns slimecock" - possible future event?
Seems like a safe bet. There's some slimecock in the demoness event so
I certainly would be looking to partially recycle the animation for a (potentially repeatable) Violet event or even a Violet/Evie/Nel event.
I think you're all a bit harsh on deimus, writing new events for a game this complex is very difficult and time consuming (I can say that having seen the code), and I'm sure he's got other real-life problems to worry about.
I agree. Like... we're pirates; the only thing we're likely spending on this game is time. Sure, Deimus probably could use his resources more efficiently, but that's true of all of us. As a guy who's giving the dev no money and has only been following the project for a few months I've been liking the velocity of development, particularly when compared to other projects which are definitely being mismanaged or only update every 3-4 months. Those updates might be larger, but it's always disappointing to go "ooh, an update!" just to realize it's focused on a character you're not pursuing.
