I don't think Torrents are safe. I have no trouble avoiding viruses and stuff like that but what makes it unsafe is the warning letter I have gotten from my internet provider to stop using torrents. Even if you disagreed with that person and now me, he was the only one uploading new links any longer.

Which torrent did you get a letter for?
As for downloading, if you use a VPN you should be okay. The best one by far is Mullvad.

Piratebay if I remember right. I think my roommate wanted some PS2 games for his jail broken PS2. The VPN didn't help as the link it's self was watched and tracked and since it wasn't a virus or malware, I never seen it.
Just for the record, I've been around since before there was an internet. I was around when torrents were good but these days it's filled with traps and it's just not worth the risk of getting cut off from the internet when people are willing to share a faster download. After all, if the VPN worked then it would be effective for either types of downloading. The most a VPN is good for is if you have a file broken into parts that you need to rejoin. In that situation you can download all the parts using a different location for each and avoid the download limits.

Um question, how do I get to the 50% freya scenes or even the 75% ones? Like how do I get to the castle.
I can get in from the crack in the lab at 75% but at 50% I can't go through the normal walkway to the castle..

That depends on how far you are in the game. for example, have you defeated both the bats and the ogres in the cave and gotten all the rewards from Freya? Have you gotten the night work or extra work at the inn? How high are the girls dominance over you and are you a slave for the maid yet?

You can mine the crystals by buying the pick ax at the store. They respawn after you have slept and there doesn't seem to be any limit to how many you can have.
