I honestly don't remember what version this is. I just know it isn't modded much, if at all. It's as vanilla as possible and may even include PUK. I think the dialogues are untranslated but everything else is.

is a newer version, judging by the exe? I had it lying around when I tried playing it last year.Yours seem to be a more updated translated version with some additional stuff, albeit still very near vanilla. Mine seem to still have some untranslated dialogue. I think they're both the same game version.

Yeah, they should be the same game version. I think that I got unmodified version somewhere in this thread and then applied translation from this thread too. I do think that some talk events were untranslated though.

How do you get Ground Forces to enter Ships (and carry them over to other planets to attack planets?). I beat a guy with two planets sensles, and am currently encircling one of his planets only to notice I have no ground troops !
If you're an officer set your fleets ships to have a troop focus or no focus and leave them undeployed eventually their troop numbers will fill out. If you're the overlord do the same but you have to make sure someone is working in logistics otherwise they won't get troops.
Ty so much ! The method takes forever but it seems to work... How many troops to take down a planet of 15000 ? Say 20000k ? Wheres the button to actually initiate the docking and land combat on the planet ? (I am emperor btw)

You mean ones with sexy stuff? It's mostly Alicesoft games like Kichikuou Rance, Sengoku Rance, Big Bang Age... For most of them you play throught the eyes of one single character, thought some allows for others as a New Game Plus but with less content than for the main one. Then there is Sangokuhime/Sangohime series, that somethat similar for some entries but not really "a live sim". There is also era games that are mostly text based.Any games similar to this ? Grand Strategy life simulation, but not in space ?
If you mean just games like this on average, then ROTK8 got recent remake (somethat worse than original game), then you can still find mostly completed english patch for ROTK10 or emulate console version.
And ROTK (Romance of the Three Kingdoms) series by KOEI(-Tecmo) is pretty much what is inspiration for this game (althought it's also took some ideas from Legend of Galactic Heroes) either directly or throught "Gundam themed ROTK in Space" called Gihren no Yabou which was made by Bandai.
Crusader Kings series is ultimate Grand Strategy not in space life simulator, thought.
Beat the whole game in 14th playthrough ! Understanding game mechanics through trial and error is the best way. Heres a small guide for the Anime Mod Version of the Game (Year 90 Scenario) -
1. Start the game as Bizmark from Code Geass series, invest into STR or CHA, his natural STR is mid 80s meaning once he trains a bit via items he is unbeatable in a personal duel.
2. Proceed to eliminate via Assassination option (talk to NPC and choose Assassinate) all Faction Leaders in your own faction except the King/Overlord.
3. Form your own Faction within your kingdom (in the Affairs menu).
4. Now that you are the most powerful (%) vise of the Factions in your own kingdom the King/Overlord will always listen to you, and you can demand Planet ---- Strategy option, choose a planet to direct your countrys armies to it. YOU MUST NOT BECOME GRAND ADMIRAL OR KING (not yet) as this will force you to personaly control all Fleets, a time consuming effort in large empires.
5. Accept the position of Spymaster. Other than this accept Supreme Diplomat or Supreme Admiral but only if the situation in the galaxy applies to it.
6. Constantly SPAM Pro War Talks (make your King/Overlord like you have Trust 3, then talk to him and choose Pro War Talks/Jingoist Talk), this will keep the general populace in the mood for war, otherwise even if the king wants to aid you an Event will force him/her to pull their forces back due to the will of the people. There is really no other way around this.
7. Attempt to have children with either your King/Overlord (if oposite gender of you) or their son/daughter (of opposite gender of you), this is untested if you are playing a Female cahracter (which is doable in the mod). If this child ever becomes King/Overlord when the old king dies, they will favor YOU greatly, and you will likely be next in the line of succession.
8. You will likely gain control of a single fleet (your own), go ahead and attack with it and help your faction whenever you can. There is very little risk of being captured or killed this way. Uninhabited planets must first be selected as attack targets via Planet ------ Strategy to be viable for attack. Bring the minimum number of ground troops in a ship and land on them, then you will colonize them. You gain Ground troops by selecting Ground Troops in Fleet menu, and WAITING for a long time.
NOTE : YOU CAN NOT use Assassinate on FAMILY (except in a few rare ocassions such as when they are taking revenge on you and attack you first via event), so be careful of becoming someones Son/Father/Husband etc... This will soft lock you if your family member has a more powerful Faction in the Kingdom as you, as you can not assassinate them in the normal way (by talking to them). You can in certain events order assassinations of even such characters, but Assassins are usually to weak in STR to deal with both the Bodyguard and the character targeted.
IF YOUR FACTION SUCKS : Aka is loosing BAD , ABANDON IT if you are able via Escape option. If you hold a very high Rank in your kingdom, you can not do this, but will likely be taken in by any Kingdom that destroys your kingdom (now having a Rank 9 or Rank 5 and loosing all your old tittles). You may wish to aid in your kingdom loosing if they are not going to win anyway.
Once your Kingdom (you are currently in) and ALL of their allied Kingdoms combined hold 100% of the map you win !

Looks like you are playing some heavily modified version. Is that part of that Chinese extra NTR mod?
And you don't really need to uzurp power. And can start as a faction leader if you want.
Its from this same thread its modded PUK , I just really hate micromanaging and I let the AI do all the troop army moving with my guidance of course ) gonna try to complete the regular game this way to. Its gonna be harder since you need prerequisistes to Assassinate characters I think
