So surgery is going ahead soon for removal and well the estimated recovery time is at least 3 months though if things go bad as a result of infection occurring then that extends to at least 6 months since they have to fit an stoma bag (aka shit bag) which doing so requires an 2nd surgery and 3rd to do it and undo it. (If I understood correctly and I've no idea how long the recovery period might be for the 3rd surgery if there is any)
Death ain't on the table as well apparently chances of the shit bag occurring is roughly 1-5%. So I should be able to pick this up again if the cancer is the cause of my overall problems as my energy should recover along with 0 continued problems...otherwise more investigations will need to occur.

Next time you hear from me could be December/January, although maybe to just say that I've fully started work again, if not something bad happened while trying to get rid of this dang cancer. (Most likely infection, extending the recovery time massively)

thats great news man, glad ur doing better my grandfather whos in his late 80s had cancer in his stomach he recovered quite fast after the surgery, im sure youll do fine

Wow this is yet another Aquedi4 game, nice to see that around !
Alright, who's crazy enough to be a little guinea pig and willing to test some weird scripts to greatly assist in that matter ? Experience with the Aquedi4 editor, alongside a bit of computer knowledge is required still. It's not easy but it's *much easier* than doing it manually.

Okay small update, I'm sharpening my tools on this one. This is still fairly long to do (312 stages, about 2h / stage of manual work plus 1h / stage of MTL) and so far I've only made the 8 first stages (+global + worldmap). It's still very long even with good tools. Here's some quick preview of where I'm at so far:

While those hand picker screens looks (fairly) great, there are other issues. Namely, font size and letter spacing. This is event more of an issue with some longer dialogs :

I may have an idea of what's to patch in the game exe to fix that, but I can't confidently call that a definitive fix.


Which brings me to my second point : play testing. I don't think I'd be able to handle various niche engine works and full game translation at the same time. People willing to help me on that are welcome, knowing that an huge part of the work isn't the 3H/stage guess-timated here but really going though all possible dialogs and checking if the text is good, if not change the translation, and repeat. Doing that translating the editor was enough a madness on its own, doing it for a game really is next level insanity.

I'm still working on sharpening tools, and would be able to release them for testing in a while. In the meantime, if anyone's interested in translating this specific game (or Aquedi4 games in general, find them by their "data/stg4" folder) please let me know. Time is very valuable and I'm willing to empower people with better tools to translate (and even mod ?) games, saving some of translators and modders precious time !

I've found a way to hook the font loader. It's cheap and dirty, but let me reconfigure fonts on the fly.

I've been poking around for ideas and finally found something I liked. The font issue now have a partial fix that's not very good (dirty cheap overwrite) but with a decent hooking system and mod loader / patcher.

Great update ! I've been able to fully scale-out my pipeline, dividing by 2 then by N (elements) the processing time to MTL translate, down to a couple of minutes of actual work (the rest is waiting for API reply)

Here is the stages translated. It work alongside the patcher, and need the game to be upgraded to Game_v1020.exe.
The TL;DR tutorial is that you need to download the latest version of Aquedi4 (grab it here

) and then drop the font patch mod from the above link (otherwise text would display weird) and merge the assets and files from the original game, then overwrite them with the one from the mod loader from the above message, and finally drop all the stages into the "update" folder (or just overwrite the original, although not recommanded)

There is still some image to be translated, and the translation quality may be bad. I haven't been able to fully test it, feel free to report issues.

If the tutorial / guide isn't very clear please let me know. I'm new here and dunno if it's allowed to redistribute whole patched game or not (generally it isn't) but I will try to make it easy for people to use !

Small edit n linux (Steam deck) you'll need to swap the d3d9Hooked.dll with the proton/wine one. I attach mine, but it's only for linux. Also font issue I'm investigating...

A bit of a question regarding the game and translation, or rather two questions
Does this translation cover the whole game? Or just a demo? I suppose I should be a bit more clear, I know the translation isn't complete, but what I mean is, does this download feature the entire game or not?

My second question is something more about the game, I'm kinda stuck and incapable of progressing to any other nodes, now I don't know if this is because of my own stupidity, or the game, but my map is stuck like this and I cant seem to find any other ways of progressing, I'm also not sure if I should be asking this in this thread or if there's another thread for this game, first time posting.


If anyone could help, I'd be very grateful

Thanks for the clarification, as it turns out, I was just being stupid and I found out how to continue a little bit further, but once again I seem to be at a stage where all points of continuing are blocked off, one is blocked by vines (the far left), one is blocked by a guy saying the weather is too cold (the bottom) and one is blocked by a guy saying there's an active battle (the top right). If anyone who's finished the game could help, please and thanks.
