So you want to download it extract it then drag the data folder into www and replace the old data folder.
Yah when you finish you get access to gallery you pick up the diary again and click the table it should give you a text box when your done.

I think he's talking about the quest where you have to talk to the different shop keepers for the ingredients for the clothes.
Go to the town at the bottom and i believe it is the common store but just talk to them its not in there shops
